This resort is further into a village and 25 minutes away from the city centre. Initially, you may be intimidated by the rocky destination, however, I like to think of it as part of the travel experience. It was fun and you get to see how a lot of the locals live. Upon arrival, all of the staffs were so lovely. The girl at the front, Cheu, is the supervisor and she was amazing! She is extremely intelligent and spoke perfect English (so helpful for us). She made our accommodation extremely comfortable and easy. Without Cheu, the resort would not run as smooth as it currently does. Green Valley Pouch is beautiful. Please keep in mind that the resort is more out of the city centre and the bungalows are not like your typical hotels. Yes, there are chickens and other animals running around but again, that is part of the experience. We loved that part a lot. The food is good and the pricing was good too! The resort also serves to the public and not just to overnight guests, therefore, you may feel a certain way but honestly, it is fine. The resort needs the attraction, especially being so far out. Rooms were extremely clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean too and the heat from the outside help dry out the moisture very quick. My husband and I were very comfortable and happy with our stay. We highly recommend this unique experience to our families and friends. Hopefully, by the time we come back to Green Valley Pouch, it will...
Read moreThe road to the resort is very bad, I mean very very bad and uncomfortable. We made an effort to go there, specifically outside the weekend as well so we could enjoy a nice quiet and relaxing time which was NOT what we found.
If you build a resort in the middle of nowhere, remote where your customers have to make an effort to get to you than you should at least ensure a quiet, private and relaxing environment.
There are chickens everywhere that start singing from 6am so sleep is over from that time.
Then there is a loud neighbour that does all this industrial work cutting and banging from 7am which is exactly why people go to these resorts to escape loud banging and cutting and other industrial sound pollution..
And then some of the guests that come there wake up really early and start making noise which you can clearly hear from the tents.
There is also too much external traffic through the resort, I see people coming that don’t stay there and it just makes feel so public instead of private and intimate.
I suggest at least getting rid of the chickens! Your customers don’t come all this way to be woken up at 6am.
And you should enforce a quiet time from 10pm to 9am like every other resort in the world!
And lastly, limit your resorts to your PAYING guests ONLY! When you see people coming there and bringing their own food and seating next to you at the restaurant and eating it makes it feel like such a poor...
Read moreFirstly this property of 8km from Kampot. The road to it -3km is unmade and covered in rubble, tyres and large pot holes. We visited and it was dry but still most taxi’s/ Tuk Tuks would not drop us off or collect from the hotel as the track was too bad. I gather after rain it is completely impassable. |Secondly nobody spoke English making all communications only possible through google translate. Breakfast included but nobody said we couldn’t order coffee/ juice so we were asked to pay the this the next day. No information on what breakfast included and what it did not. The staff could not understand that this seemed unreasonable. |Most of the menu was unavailable- out of season. |The bungalow...
