Six Senses Krabey Island is undoubtedly located in a breathtaking setting. From the moment we arrived, the beauty of the island and the warm, welcoming arrival experience set the tone for what could have been a perfect stay. The staff were attentive and made every effort to ensure we felt welcome.||||Our villa was a standout featureâstunningly designed, surrounded by lush forest for privacy while still offering beautiful sea views. It was thoughtfully equipped with high-quality toiletries, soft towels, luxurious bedding, and essential mosquito nets around the bed. The private plunge pool was always impeccably prepared, morning and night, ensuring everything was ready whenever we fancied a dip. Additionally, buggies were readily available to transport us around the resort whenever needed.||||The onsite dining offered good quality food with a variety of options. However, we were disappointed to find that one of the two restaurants was often closed during our stay. For a resort that charges over $1,000 per night, guests should have the opportunity to dine at either venue each evening.||||The mini-bar system was another letdown. The mini-bar was not stocked upon arrival, and we were required to order items via an iPad, phone, or WhatsApp communication with our butler. This system felt unnecessarily complicated, especially when we wanted wine for a romantic evening. Unfortunately, we encountered significant delays in getting our order fulfilled, which disrupted our plans.||||Another issue arose with check-out arrangements. On arrival, our butler presented multiple late check-out options, but she failed to mention the 50% surcharge that would apply for staying beyond the standard check-out time. This led to confusion when we later aligned our transfers with this arrangement, only to learn about the charge after the fact. When we raised the issue, communication stalled, and the resolution was unnecessarily drawn out, leaving a sour note to the experience.||||We also experienced Wi-Fi issues, with the connection dropping repeatedly for two days. This was frustrating, particularly as my partner had important business calls to attend to. Although the staff eventually resolved the issue and sent chocolates as an apology, it was a significant inconvenience.||||The resortâs pricing structure also felt overly fragmented. There were additional charges for the boat transfer to the island, which felt excessive given the already steep room rates. These costs would have been better incorporated into the overall price to provide a more seamless experience. Similarly, a stocked mini-bar with basic refreshments such as soft drinks and snacks should be a courtesy, particularly for a remote island resort of this caliber.||||Despite these issues, there were notable highlights. The spa services were exceptionalâmy gold facial was a dream, and the massages were equally fantastic. I also participated in some of the onsite classes, which were delivered to the highest standard and added a unique touch to the overall experience.||||While the natural beauty of the island and the luxurious accommodations were impressive, the service and overall value fell short compared to other Six Senses properties, such as those in Thailand, which offer superior service at a lower price point. With a few operational improvements and a greater focus on guest convenience, Six Senses Krabey Island has the potential to truly live up to its stunning location and...

My partner and I stayed at the resort for 4 days and 3 nights. We arrived in Sihanoukville during a terrible monsoon season and thankfully we had the hotel pick up service right from the airport to take us to the jetty for our ferry ride to the island.
The boat ride was choppy due to the stormy weather and the waves but we arrived safely on the island nonetheless. We were whisked away to the main lobby via the buggy that was waiting for us on the island jetty.
We were given a gorgeous hideaway pool villa suite which was secluded and quiet for me and my partner. Amenites were lovely with the large bed and en suite bathroom with the large bathtub that was utilised many a times while we were there.
Unfortunately due to the inclement weather while we were on the island, we were mostly confined to indoor activities as the sea was too rough to partake in watersports. However, there were various activities to choose from including the ones we did like the cooking demo class, the complimentary yoga session, paid activities such as the herbal compress making workshop and the alchemy workshop where we made our own body/face and foot scrubs which would definitely appeal to older adults and children alike. Do not forget to get the free ice cream at the parlour in the afternoons and catch other events on certain days like the GM cocktail and afternoon canapes.
All meals were served on the island at their two main restaurants: AHA restaurant and Tree restaurant that were beautiful views of the sea and served delicious food both a mix of western and khmer cuisine were available to suit all palates. The breakfast buffet spread was also a delight in the morning.
Lastly, I would like to thank and extend my appreciation to all the staff at the resort who were an absolute joy to interact and talk to. They were extremely helpful and courteous and never failed to show us a smile even during the bad weather we had during our stay. They made our stay an extremely memorable one!
Thankfully, the skies gradually cleared up during our stay though there were still occasional passing showers and the boat ride back to the mainland was much calmer compared to when we first arrived.
I would definitely recommend Six Senses Krabey Island to anyone looking to escape to a private little island for a short vacation. Though I am pretty sure it would be even more fantastic if we came during a better...
Read moreThe overall stay was pretty good. We liked the food, the room, and the service in the restaurant, But one thing that disappointed us was the service in the kids club.
We usually take care of our 2 year old boy by ourselves, so we wanted to give ourselves a bit of rest from the busy parenting life. So we decided to use the nanny service in the kid club.(We had a good experience with the previous Six senses kids club in Oman).
When we arrived at the kids club 10min before the booking time, there was nobody waiting for us. The door was unlocked, so we decided to wait for someone to come. But we realized that the room was very dusty and dirty. All the 3 rooms(the playing room, the napping room, the toilet) were collecting dust. It looked untouched for a long time.
When the nanny arrived and had a greeting. She seemed not aware of our concerns and tried to carry on the nanny service. We asked why the club is so dirty, she said because the last time the room was being used was 3 months ago.
The room wasn't only filthy. We couldn't turned on the light because it was undermaintenance. We could see the wiring and nails were cluttered on the ground. We shared with the nanny that the room needed to be cleaned up for hygiene and safety purposes, so she swept the room a bit. But She seemed not to be eager to give the thorough clean up , so we asked to call a cleaner, but the cleaner also gave just a quick wipe only.(This nanny still doesn't see our concerns) So I decided to sweep the entired room and kneeled down to floor to wipe. And I changed my original schedule into take care of my boy while my wife was taking 2 hours massage.
This nanny was in charge of this kids club and emphasised that she worked in an international school according to her, but it made us so confused that she wasn't aware of the problems and even complained to a cleaner why the room was so dirty. but We booked the night before, the cleaner doesn't know, but her.
We didn't point it out but we also saw bottles of water on the table, I assume it's the drinking water for kids. They were still on the same table after one and a half hours when I left the club. It made us scared if kids were left alone and the club was operated by her professionalism.
This kind of spoiled our day, we still have 2 more nights here at this moment, hope we can go home without a bitter feeling...
