We were fortunate to stay two nights at Apsara before the official opening. Although the restaurant was not yet open, it is clear that it will be well-equipped once completed.
The entire hotel complex appears very luxurious and beautiful. The Apsara statue in the middle of the main pool is impressive, and the tiles in the pool are lovely. When you look down into the pool, it appears shallow, but it has good depth for swimming. The mural above the bed and the room is also very beautiful. The furniture in the room and on the terrace is stylish, with many beautiful details and a lot of gold. Even the foot shower by our terrace is gilded.
The hotel has a high-tech curtain system with remote-controlled opening and closing of the curtains in front of the large floor-to-ceiling window. When you wake up in the morning, you just press a button to get the view from the bed, which is built on a platform. Palm trees, the sea, and the pool with the Apsara statue were beautiful to wake up to. The terrace was just the right size with stylish, comfortable chairs and a small table with a marble top. We enjoyed good coffee there.
The shower was large and stylish with a frosted glass door and beautiful tiles on the floor and walls. The toiletries were of high quality and nicely packaged. There was a large countertop with two beautiful glass sinks shaped like shells, two large round mirrors with lights around the edges, and an anti-fog function. The toilet was just the right size with a frosted glass door. There was good ventilation from the shower and toilet, good lighting, and beautiful lamps in the room.
The staff were positive and service-minded, and they took care of anything we needed or had questions about. Bath towels were laid out every day, neatly rolled on the sun loungers right outside.
I was very impressed with the facilities and the beautiful hotel. My husband and I would love...
Read moreWe stayed at Apsara for 7 nights in February. Although it was in its soft opening (it was communicated to us perfectly well btw) we found the place absolutely lovely. It is at the end of the beach with overview of white sandy beach, blue ocean, small cozy pier and in the distance the town of Sihanouk.
The room (superior suite) was big, clean and big windows overlooking the ocean. Lovely stuff. The interior is clean and minimalistic, we loved it.
The staff is very helpful, sweet and will go out of their way to make your stay as good as possible.
We rented a motorbike and explored the island by ourselves but the hotel offers a lot of various tours/activities. They have shuffle board, snorkling gear amongst other things which were free to use while we were there.
Both the pools are great. The breakfast was great and anyone complaining about it in the reviews are just being silly. The kitchen staff is great, the make a lot of the food themselves from scratch and it is very tasty. We ate dinner several times and were never disappointed. There are other guesthouses nearby if you want to alternate between where you eat which was perfect for our long stay.
The beach is nice, we did some snorkling and you will see cool and colorful fishes. Take your time and explore other beaches as well while on the island.
We loved our stay, the staff, the management as well as the owners are absolutely great people and we wish them all the best. We plan to come back to Koh Rong in the future and will definitely...
Read moreIf heaven existed on earth, I swear you’d find it at Apsara Resort. I've just spent 2 weeks at this gem, this place absolutely deserves 5 stars (and more). Right from the moment you arrive, you know this isn’t just another beach hotel. The location is perfect — right on the soft white sand of Coconut Beach, with the turquoise water stretching before you and lush jungle rising behind. There’s something so peaceful about waking up here: the sound of waves, no city traffic, just nature, sun, and serenity. The rooms are nothing short of spectacular. Spacious, luxurious, stylish — floor-to-ceiling windows that let in so much light and give you jaw-dropping ocean views. Facilities are top notch. There’s a private beach area, an infinity pool that blends so elegantly into the sea view, a spa that offers treatments that make staying in your robe all day seem like the best plan ever. One of the things that always sticks with me: the staff. Warm, attentive, friendly without being overbearing. They go out of their way to make sure you’re relaxed, help with any request, organize everything you need (boat trips, transfers, whatever). Food here is another level. Being a vegetarian, I usually worry about meals at beach resorts, but here the chef was happy to accommodate, making sure my dietary requirements were met without compromising flavour. Every dish felt fresh, beautiful, and delicious. Apsara is the kind of place that makes you forget about time. Peaceful,...
