The BBQ seafood and steak are delicious, the sunset views of the 4km white sands are amazing, and the beds are comfy! When you arrive at LONG SET pier, their driver will collect you and take you by pick up to the other side of the island. The website isn’t totally accurate - but the new manager KimSan is trying really hard to upgrade everything after a difficult few years of Covid before. we stayed in one of their sea-view bungalows, which are nestled amongst the shady trees, so it’s nice and cool. Our double bed and pillows were comfortable , hot showers and the AC in good working order. The restaurant area is a minutes walk, and a beautiful beach and sun loungers await. The staff are really friendly, and KimSan is very attentive to your needs. They offer free kayak and snorkeling equipment, and there are other tours available such as the local waterfall. Advice: Be sure to pack plenty of strong DEET as there are sandflies in the morning and night, but only on the beach, the rest of the resort is no problem. A good idea to bring extra water as there’s no shops nearby , although their restaurant sells plenty of food and drink options daily.

We had a really good stay here! This is an island without not developing well, so it’s actually quite hard to find rooms in between. The front desk lady 倫速迪 was super helpful and friendly! We had a wonderful time during our stay because of her! Of course this resort everyone is also very friendly! We loved it here, thank you!

Long Beach Resort is located in a stunning spot with blue waters, white sandy beaches, and breathtaking sunsets every evening. The setting alone makes this resort worth considering.

The Good:

Service: The staff were friendly and hardworking. We called ahead to confirm our pickup, and the resort sent a truck to transport us—three of us rode in the cab, and three in the truck bed, which was safely enclosed with a cage.

Rooms: Great value for what we paid (holiday pricing). The A/C worked perfectly, the beds were comfy, the bathroom was clean, and the shower was reliable.

Drinks: Cocktails were $5, with a great happy hour deal from 4 PM to 7 PM (buy one, get one free).

The Not-So-Good:

Restaurant: The food was inconsistent and underwhelming. For example, the seafood chowder was excellent on the first day, mediocre the next, and bad on another. Whether you’re ordering Western dishes or Khmer classics, the meals didn’t impress. If you stay here, I highly recommend venturing into town by motorbike or tuk-tuk to try other restaurants—it’s worth the effort for a few meals.

Drinks: While affordable, they seemed to skimp on the alcohol, so don’t expect to be wowed by the cocktails.

Rooms: Two main issues: (1) The door didn’t seal completely, so lizards occasionally came in (didn’t bother us, but worth noting). (2) The door lock system is odd—inside and outside locks are separate, so if you lock one, it can’t be opened from the other side.

The Biggest Frustration: Some guests seemed to expect 5-star resort service for what is clearly a more rustic experience. Complaints about not having specific fruits or menu items, or expecting chicken nuggets for kids, felt out of place. If you want ultra-luxury and all your needs met, go to a high-end resort and pay accordingly. This is a fantastic, affordable option, but it’s not trying to be something it’s not.

Final Thoughts: Overall, we had a great stay. For what we paid (about $430 for three nights during the holidays, though I’m not certain on the exact price), this was excellent value. The location is incredible, the rooms are comfortable, and the experience is authentic. Sure, the food could use improvement, but for the price and location, it’s hard to beat. If this resort were in another part of the world, it would easily cost triple—or more. Just keep realistic expectations, and you’ll enjoy...

Avoid at All Costs!!

If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway, STAY FAR AWAY from this so-called “resort.” The owner’s only goal is clearly to squeeze as much money as possible, with zero regard for guest experience or well-being. The place is a nightmare masquerading as a luxury escape.

First, the beach is not exclusive as advertised. It’s PUBLIC, constantly overcrowded, and overrun by loud groups who take over from noon until evening. There’s karaoke, private parties, and events happening right next to where you’re trying to eat or relax. Strangers walk freely through the hotel grounds and past guest rooms – zero security, zero peace.

The noise is unbearable: blasting music from both the hotel bar and the hoards of young people that each bring their speakers. Complaints? Don’t bother. The management pretends to care but offers only temporary, half-hearted fixes. The staff is overwhelmed, but the real problem lies with the owner, who seems more interested in profiting off day-trippers (that don’t even buy much at the bar) than providing the “resort experience” promised to paying guests.

External visitors are rude and entitled, treating the space like their personal playground. They use the loungers, cushions, and even sports equipment meant for hotel guests. They play ball right in front of you while kilometers of open beach remain unused. Meanwhile, you’re stuck tolerating this chaos because the hotel is isolated, and there are no alternatives.

The pricing is an insult. What they charge for this mess is laughable. The false advertising is criminal – this is NOT a peaceful, exclusive resort. If we had known the truth, we would never have booked! Because we stayed for 8 nights, we asked for a partial refund, but wouldn’t get offered any compensation from the owner! He even told our booking platform, after we had contacted them about the matter, that we were lying!!! The owner is in Phnom Penh and has no idea what’s going on! Taking pity in our troubles, the restaurant staff invited us for dinner the last evening. Thank you for that!

Do yourself a favor and book anywhere else. This place is an overpriced, mismanaged circus where the only thing the owner cares about is making money off your misery....
