Naroth Beach Bungalow and Restaurant — Hotel in Koh Rong

This was an absolute gem to stay in! We rented the beach front bungalow and it was perfected for our stay located north of the island.

It is very quiet and not much going around, so it is perfect for someone that wants to unplug and take in this beautiful property and its beach.

Said that, if you are looking for a place to stay with a lot of amenities and nearby shops and restaurant this place is sadly not for you. It is around 20min scooter drive to the local main town where you have plenty of restaurants to choose from. We were able to rent a scooter from the Naroth Beach Bungalow.

The food was good, but once again you are a little bit limited if you don't rent a scooter and go elsewhere.

Nevertheless, this stay was perfect for us, very quiet and comfortable location and AC was working really well! Plus they provided a free pick up with the Tuk Tuk from the ferry - which was a massive bonus point - made our travelling to the island much easier.

Some host notes for future improvements of the room: please please offer a refilable water tank to refill water bottles, its so sad to see so much plastic on the island same with plastic straws for coffee & smoothies, reusable glass/bamboo/metal straws would be a lot better in the room we were missing a hand soap, which would be a nice addition also would be nice to have some additional bedside lamps, as there is just a big main light maybe a fridge in the room would be nice too!

|We've been travelling SE Asia the last two months and this is hands down our favourite place we have had the pleasure of staying in!|As soon as we arrived we were  warmly with smiles and a lovely, cool, fruity drink which was very much needed in scorching Cambodia sun! The resort itself is situated on a lovely peaceful part of Koh Rong beach. ( Not the party area.)   The bungalows are owned by two sisters who were so kind and lovely! They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed! In addition, all the staff at Naroths were so helpful, attentive and just so so nice! From reading reviews I noticed that some people mentioned about the beach not being the tidiest - however we didn't experience this at all. It was clean, beautiful and very well kept by a young man that worked there. The food was really tasty and a good portion size, you don't mind waiting a few extra minutes when you know it's been cooked from fresh! Our bungalow was clean and well sized ( for a bungalow) and had Aircon at specific hours which worked very well and was very powerful! During the daytime electricity is run on solar which was great and the WiFi was strong all day long. The girls took us to see the glowing plankton one evening, which was magical, little things like this made our stay so memorable! The rooms are very reasonably priced, could not reccomend enough! I don’t have enough good words to describe our time here. From the host Ratana (I hope I spelt that right! ) to the lovely cleaning staff, you are constantly greeted with a warm smile. The food is so good and reasonable priced. I really recommend the crispy sandwich and any of the smoothies! The rooms are nice and spacious which were most importantly clean, they’re nothing too outlandish but you’re not in Koh Rong for the rooms! It’s right on a really quiet and basically private beach which you can walk out of your rooms to see. ||Also, we hired a moped through the bungalows and they made sure before we used the moped, it was completely full off petrol so we didn’t need to top up which I thought was such a nice touch as this was the first place to do so!||I’d also really recommend booking the plankton / snorkelling tour through here as-well as it only costs $20 and it’s includes unlimited free drinks, free food, fishing, snorkelling, sunset and more. We didn’t expect half the things included but was so worth it, a genuine highlight which we wouldn’t have booked if it wasn’t for the bungalows. ||Thank you so much again, and if we’re fortunate enough to come back, we would 1000% stay here...
