Nak’s Shack Bungalows — Hotel in Koh Ta Kiev

So glad we found Nak's Shack. Just wish we could have stayed longer! Perfect beach and bungalows to unwind and enjoy the waves. Nak is a great host and helpful with travel plans. The food was delicious... with choices of local dishes, bbq and crepes with banana and chocolate sauce!

There were only 5 bungalows in use on a kilometre of beach. The bungalows were spacious, with views of the beach and all the basics. Not having electricity for most of the day meant we could switch off from checking phones - though Smart network gave good signal.

A few hours a day there were boats with day trippers further down the beach. Some would play music and sadly some would also leave plastic behind. But it was still easy to find a quiet part of the beach, and Nak's stretch is well cared for.

Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys beautiful quiet beaches and good Khmer food and...

Me and my girlfriend stayed at Nak’s Shack for three nights. Koh Ta Kiev is such a peaceful island with beautiful white beaches. Nak’s Shack is located on a quiet stretch of beach with hardly any visitors. We arrived with two other couples, so we had the whole beach to ourselves for the three nights.

You can choose to sleep inside your cabin or outside, we slept outside and loved the cool breeze and the sound of the waves. The cabins were simple but had everything we needed, and we spent most of our time on the beach anyway!

Nak’s Girlfriend served up amazing food and drinks for all our meals while we were there.

Brilliant place - truly remote and disconnected from the world. Beautiful beach, that's almost private with only 4 bungalows and the occasional day trippers. Nak our host was amazing; so helpful and accomodating. We spent 3 days swimming, relaxing, sunbathing, eating great food and wading into the sea at night to see the bioluminescent plankton.
