Khim Vouch Ay Bungalows & Restaurant — Hotel in Koh Tonsai

My partner and I booked 3 nights at Khim Vouch Lay and arrived only to be told we could only stay 1 night because they were fully booked. We explained that we had made the booking several MONTHS ago through booking.com and we intended to see it honoured, to which they replied that they didn't have proper internet on the island so were unable to check booking.com reservations. We were given no rate discount, no apology. ||What is this madness!? What sort of business puts itself on an online booking site when they, themselves, have no internet to ACTUALLY CHECK THE BOOKINGS?! After staying the one permitted night, we checked out (after spending a considerable amount of time actually finding someone to pay) and organised our own bungalow for the following 2 nights. ||The bungalow we stayed in was fine and might have actually been nice if we didn't have to leave so early the following morning. ||My advise to anyone visiting rabbit island - do not bother booking in advance. Arrive, look at all the bungalows, meet the people who own them and you will very quickly be able to separate the good, family run businesses from the chancers. Thankfully, we managed to have a great time on the island in our new bungalow. I wouldn't trust these guys again...

Electricity from 5:30 PM to 10:30 PM only so its a good place to unplug and just relax. Clean and nice bungalows with mosquito net and hammocks outside where you can just chill and listen to the waves. They also have a massage service and a big plus for allowing pets. Just make sure to call them first if you want to bring your dog with you. They also have some animals and a cute puppy who will be greeting you upon checkin. Food is SUPERB and really big portions for its price! Will definitely be back. ||PS: booking problems is understandable considering the island doesn’t have wifi nor electricity most of the time. My second time with this bungalow, they told me, their bungalow is not serve food and drink from June to September while the island is so quiet and windy. But accommodation is still open for guest. So if you come in this period, there only two place that still serve food/drink.|So what the best pleasure now, they tread me as their family. I have 3 times meal/day. Even in the morning I got a pack of rice with chicken meat. Lunch and dinner I joint with their family. The best place to escape from people is here with the best atmosphere and view. Relax with hammock closed to beach and sound of the sea with only me. That is one of my amazing memories....
