What's in a name. It's a cozy and relaxing getaway in the lush greenery just outside of the center of Sen Monourom. The private lodges connected by wooden walkways and some stairs, have a good quiet airco, private bathroom with hot shower and western toilet. There were good covers against insects in front of the windows. The place was very clean. A comfortable bed. A nice view to the forrest around. There is a very reasonably priced restaurant as well with local and European food. Don't expect the best quality of European food but my fish and chips was okay, even though I would more recommend a pizza or burger if you're not in for local dish. For breakfast they serve pancakes, toast and eggs. The owner Sem is a very friendly guy with an okay level of English to communicate without hassle. He can organise activities upon request like a jungle trek (we did that, very fun with lunch in the jungle prepared by our local guide) and much more. To see elephants in particular I would recommend the Elephant Valley Project, also to be found around Sen Monourom but not connected to Greenhouse Retreat. Be aware that there are a lot of calm, friendly dogs at the premises, clearly better fed and taken care of than the dogs outside of the retreat. Overall we had a very relaxing and nice stay there

This guesthouse was my favorite on our 2 week trip in Cambodia. Our room was stand-alone on stilts, huge and beautifully furnished. The bed was firm and came with mosquito netting. AC is not necessary in this part of the country due to the high winds. It was very cool at night. The bathroom was large, comfortable and even had hot water to the shower. The owner took us on a small tour of the orchards. The staff told us he does a lot of work for the community, but they said he’d never admit it because he is very humble. He built this retreat with the help of volunteers. There is an open air library facing the banana trees, fountains, a heart shaped pond, wooden swings, winding paths and a sunset view from the upstairs restaurant. Our curry dinners were around $2 a piece and delicious. The staff were delightful and eager to help at every turn. It is important to note that they are located about a mile out of town but tuk tuk drivers knew right where to go and the staff arranged pick-ups for us the next day. Greenhouse is a MUST for your visit.

Absolutely loved this hotel and retreat! The rooms were clean and air conditioned, the food was amazing and the staff were incredible. We had a large group and are not easy to accommodate and Sam and his family and staff could not have been more helpful. The beauty on the property is unmatched and breathtaking. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone.

The resort is located away from city centre, in a peaceful and beautiful sourrandings. Only jungle around you....so nice!|The bungalow are nice spacious and cosy. The bathroom is not big but we'll equipped (also hairdryer).|You will have your personal terrace and hammock, so beautiful stay here and see stars...hear all the noise of nature.... lovely! ||Very delicious breakfast and also dinner was delicious. A lovely cat also 😍😍.||Just one little note: in our room the hot water was not very hot and I unfortunately catch a flu because of this...maybe this is a problem only of our bungalow I guess. ||But I absolutely recommend this place and his owner, Sam, who also organise beautiful trekking and conscious tour with elephant (ex...
