My husband and I stayed at Mr Phen's guest bungalow for 2 nights and it was without doubt one of the most incredible experiences we've ever had. We were the only tourists in a village of 500 and were welcomed instantly into Mr Phen's beautiful family, who live next door.||Some of the highlights included:|- Private tuk-tuk tour around the temples, including sunrise at Ankor Wat and sunset at Bakai Mountains |- Private meditation session and blessing in a Monk's house|- BBQ and beers with the neighbours in the village (included a shopping trip to the local markets where no tourists go)|- Bracelet making with Phen's wife|- Time with Phen's beautiful 2 children|- Breakfast cooked by Phen's wife |- Surrounded by pigs, chickens and cows!|- Local sake tasting |- Airport pick up/ drop off|||Please note that Phen's house is in a very poor village, so don't expect luxury, but you're in Cambodia... you shouldn't be seeking luxury anyway! They offer you bottled water constantly and toilet and shower is totally fine. No air con but it's rare to find air con in Siem Reap anyway. Mosquito net keeps the bugs away during sleep. ||Phen and his family are some of the most humble, kind hearted people you will ever meet and they will certainly make you re-think how to live life in a happy, simple manner when you return home. ||A gift from your country plus home/school goods (which you can buy in town) for the family is highly appreciated. ||Highly recommend Mr Phen's guest house for solos, couples & families seeking a true local experience like no other. So much gratitude and love goes out to Mr Phen, his family, Mr Che (the driver), and his wonderful neighbours. ||This will be an experience you will...
