This property is on a serious decline since the departure of the resident manager Frederic.||||Firstly the positives||- The reception staff are, in a word, outstanding. Within the limits of what they are allowed to do, one could not ask for a better group. In large part this is because of the leadership of the front manager, Ibrahim.||- The housekeeping staff do a superb job keeping the guest rooms in first class cleanliness and order.||- The laundry is great. Clothes come back laundered in an entirely professional manner||- The rooms are entirely functional, although the placement of the air conditioner is such that it blows cold air directly over the bed||||Secondly the negatives||- The location of the hotel is a real issue. The entrance rods are nothing short of ruts. Complicating, is the fact that the hotel is under the airport departure flight path. The noise if the departing aircraft any time day or night.||- The wireless is at best, sporadic. One is obliged to go to the front desk often and receive a new code, Even when it is working the intern is sporadic in speed and subject to frequent drops||- The dining room/food service continues to deteriorate. On examination the chairs are showing signs of age/wear and are in serious need of replacement. Paint is noticeably peeling off of some of the walls. At breakfast the choices become less and less. When the dining opens for breakfast it is not uncommon to find day old breads. The prices are completely out of line. This is probably because of the fact that there are no other food sources within convenient walking difference. The restaurant will serve a half portion of a meal, but one still has to pay full price. Do not bother asking for a diet soft drink; none are available and there is to obtain the same (Frederic always was able to get diet soft drinks)..The attitude of some of the dining room staff needs some serious positive adjustment. Most times, particularly in the evening the television in the eating area is tuned to a station that is music videos of marginal quality with the sound far too loud for normal people. The impression is that the television is for the entertainment of the staff,||-The noise proofing in the guest rooms is inadequate, Wen a desk chair is moved on a floor above the noise is obvious in the room below. Simple felt pieces on the bottom of the chair legs would in large part remedy the same. Even though the hotel rarely operates at rarely more than 50% occupancy it is impossible to get something as simple as a seci0nd desk lamp. There is a great deal to be said about this property and most of it good.||||The building itself is fairly new and most importantly for this part of the world is clean – no very clean. By and large everything in the hotel works. The rooms are spotless and, save and except for perhaps the air-conditioning units being placed so that they are directly over the beds everything else is fine. The refrigerators in the rooms work well, the Internet works well, and the flatscreen televisions provide a wide variation of programs to watch. Particular mention should be given to the housekeeping staff keep the guestrooms spotless every day and to the To look after the laundry is taken away every morning and brought back cleaned folded and package every evening.||||As far as staff goes the front desk staff are intended polite and knowledgeable. The general manager is always there and like his front staff make a point of knowing the names of guests and continue to inquire almost on a daily basis as to whether anything else can be done to make their stay pleasant. One is left with the impression that these are genuine requests and are not done on a perfunctory basis.||||The restaurant dining room is really quite good. While the daily menu does change their stalwarts that are permanent on the menu and a really quite good. The pastas are good, and the hamburgers are probably as good as one could find anywhere. What is really outstanding is the fact that they had chef is always willing to try to make something at particular request client and he and his sous chef are a remarkable team.||||However not all is well in Camelot. The hotel advertises a fitness center however all of the machines in the same broken. Hot water is never available in the guestrooms at best it will be one or two levels above lukewarm and the water pressure is really never consistent. While the front of the hotel has a series of balconies the rear of the hotel and the guestrooms windows are mere four or five feet away from a blank wall. The noise deafening within the hotel is insufficient; you hear the scraping of chairs from the floor above and what is even worse if you hear the noise of human functions from the bathroom in the room directly above. The physical location of this property borders on being terrible. In front of the hotel is a construction site that seems to have been going on since time immemorial. The roads into the property are terrible.||||All of the above being said if one weighs the positives as against the negatives the positives clearly win. Great bedroom, very nice bed, employees are nice too. Very welcome team. NOW, the breakfast is terrible, always late , it seems that they do not care at all about the breakfast, probably because they want to keep the rest of the meal for them. Even we talked and complained about it , nothing change. So if you can, go somewhere to take your breakfast. About the restaurant, the food is good but too expensive , same thing , better to walk 5 minutes and get your lunch or diner for half of the price . Internet works good , I do not know why but YouTube works with my phone but it is banned with the laptop. About cleaning , the room are clean but if you watch under the bed you will find couple months of dust, same for the shower who is starting to have moisture. It is a new hotel also it is clean but if they will continue to clean up like this they will have problems. Bedroom has a safe box. Laundry is good but the clothes are not smelling good after they wash and iron it ? Why? They put all pieces on a plastic bag when they bring back your clothes, also open them because sometime they are not enough dry and the clothes are turning wet...
