Matonsi Hotel — Hotel in Yaoundé

I was here twice already. The first time in April of 2021 and recently May 2023. It's safe to say that this place has deteriorated quickly in the span of two years! Room: We got a first room on the 3rd flood (room 306) full of roaches... I mean everywhere. We complained and it's the security guard who was sent to check the rooms!! According to him everything looked fine (That's not his job!!). A second room on the 4th floor (room 408) was given to us as a switch. The stench... my goodness. The evacuation hole in the bathroom was open! The bad was NOT MADE and with torn bed sheets! There was no blanket, no remote control for the AC and TV, the phone line was cut, and you couldn't call the reception to complain...😕 The security guard just walked in another room, dragged the bed cover and gave it to us. I was so mad and ready to leave buy my husband was exhausted and asked that we let it slide!

Building a nice hotel is great, but if you want to keep clients coming, keep it up to date with adequate maintenance and make sure its CLEAN! Make sure everything in the room works as it is supposed to. It's the least you can do when people are paying for a good night of rest.

This was the last time for me!! Given other choices I wouldn't ever...

It's a very nice clean hotel. Almost everyone is professional, friendly and respectful. Though I experienced a delay to repair a broken bathtub in my room, I believe they are trying their best to satisfy customers. I recommend to step up and urgently resolve maintenance issues in clients...

Reception people are not friendly. Soap, sometimes water, sometes electricity cut. Best foods were omelette, filtered coffee and fish w cooked tomato- carrot- onion mix and cooked...
