Cedar Villa Motel — Hotel in Alberta

Owner was on holiday and didnt receive my online booking. Told me over phone to get room key from key drop box. There was room keys to all rooms accessable. Once in room the smell was enough to make me vomit... There were candles in room!! The place is dirty! 2 fridges, one of which was gross. The sink pipes leak onto the carpet beneath and hence the moldy smell! Holes in walls. No inside lock on door for extra protection against anyone who could have got a key cut from all the ones sitting in drop box while owner is away on holiday! Dead flies. Just...

A decent motel at a reasonable cost. I would suggest reminding the owner to turn on the hot water tanks when you arrive. Cold showers were bearable in the heat we experienced, but unexpected. Great place to stay close to Writing on Stone. The basics are available. Grocery, and a couple places to eat. The motel was definitely peaceful and comfortable. I had the good fortune of staying at this clean, well-kept, and friendly serviced motel. The owner was very friendly. I normally ask to see a room prior to actually asking for a room for the night to determine it's cleanliness and orderliness. This motel was a very good surprise.
