Econo Lodge Hotel Taber — Hotel in Alberta

We checked in to the hotel on Friday night. Jaime had a huge smile on her face and was incredibly friendly and professional. Check in took minutes and we were in our room.

Our room was clean and fresh smelling. Not even a bit of dust. Crisp clean sheets and towels and a spotless bathroom.

Friday night when we came back to the hotel we wanted to use the vending machine for some snacks but it wouldn't take our toonies. But the night staff person came to the rescue and opened the machine to get what we wanted.

Saturday morning the excellent customer sevice continued. Everyone attentive and friendly. To the level you just don't see anymore.

Saturday night when we got back to the hotel, we were greeted by the same night staff member who was washing windows and cleaning (at midnight). He again opened up the vending machine for snacks so I could pay him with my toonies.

Sunday morning we went down for breakfast, we had plates handed to us and while getting our breakfast them hotel manager (I think his name was Arvind) got us coffee with cream and sugar, our cutlery and both him and the extremely nice lady manning the breakfast area visited with us while we ate.

All of this type of detail as well as the doors always being opened for us, help with taking items to and from our vehicle and just genuine concern to make sure our stay was nothing but the best.

We've travelled all over Alberta and the U.S. and I can't remember being in a hotel that is the whole package. But I can say that this is.

We will definitely stay here and nowhere else when we come down South.

I recently stayed at the Econo Lodge in Taber for 4 nights for a business trip and had a wonderful experience. This lodge is run by a husband-and-wife team along with their family, and you can truly feel the warmth and personal touch they bring to the place. Every guest is welcomed personally, which makes you feel special and right at home.

The rooms are cozy, clean, and comfortable, with great bedding that ensured a restful stay. It’s clear that the owners take pride in maintaining both the property and the guest experience.

During my stay, I even met an elderly couple in their mid-80s who told me they come to Taber every year to visit their kids — yet they prefer staying at this lodge rather than at their children’s homes. That alone speaks volumes about the comfort and welcoming atmosphere this place provides.

It’s no surprise they have won many awards from the Choice group — they absolutely deserve it. Their genuine hospitality and dedication make this Econo Lodge stand out as more than just a place to stay; it feels like a home away from home. Highly recommend to anyone...

Stayed there back in June for a work trip. My job sent me out of town for much of the summer and I had to stay in many other hotels, which displayed varying degrees of service and professionalism. The Staff at the EconoLodge were very friendly and accommodating. My coworker and I needed internet access for work, and there was an issue with the guest wifi. We were given immediate access to the staff wifi without hassle. The breakfast was better and more maintained than what I usually expect for a hotel breakfast. The general manager ensured my satisfaction. After checking out and doing a site job in town, I realized I had left my pillow behind. We drove back to the hotel about an hour later to retrieve it. The general manager saw me walk through and immediately knew I had forgot the pillow without me even asking, and he returned it to me.
