This place has gone downhill in the last few years. Pretty sure the ownership has changed because I never see the original people that opened the place anymore. This used to be an excellent place to stay. The bathrooms were always so clean and the cabins too. They had an arcade for the kids which has now been turned into storage facility. The bathrooms used to be scrubbed down every morning and sparkled, now I don’t think they even scrub the floors or showers cause the dirt is ground into the floor, the corners are full of dirt and the showers are stained. The mattresses are paper thin, might as well sleep on the wood. Wifi is horrible if you are lucky enough to connect and prices have gone up more in the last few years then they did in the 10 years prior. This last experience I was told they close September 30th. We called to confirm that we would still have access to everything and would assured we would. Upon arriving on September 23rd, we were told the campfire pit was closed for the season as well as the campers kitchen. We had no hot water in the cabin and were told they were considering turning off the water completely on the 24th but told us they will keep on till the 25th. The road is bumpy and it just does not have the same feel it used to. I have been attending this place at least once a year for the last 15 years or so and I am so disheartened by the way it has gone downhill. When bringing concerns to the managers attention, she told me she could check me out so I could go elsewhere, I then requested a discount and she gave me 10%. She was clearly not impressed with my complaint. Also I’m not sure they have any care or concerns to fill the vending machines, they all say out of order including the ones in the...
Read moreFrom the moment we arrived at the Hinton/Jasper KOA Holiday, we were greeted with warmth, care, and an unmistakable sense of pride in place. This isn’t just a campground—it’s a well-run, beautifully maintained retreat that sets the benchmark for RV parks and outdoor stays.
The sites are spacious, flat, and easy to access, with lush grassy areas that make even the most rugged journey feel restorative. Each site includes a sturdy picnic table and barbecue setup, making outdoor meals a joy. The attention to detail is remarkable—from the clean, level pads to the serene natural setting that lets the mountains whisper in.
Bathrooms? Immaculate. With eight well-kept showers and spotless facilities, it's a far cry from the standard campground fare. And the laundry area—equipped with 8 washers and 8 dryers—is not only practical but pristine. At $2.50 for a wash and $3.00 for a dry, it’s efficient, affordable, and appreciated after days on the road.
Management deserves special recognition. Friendly, responsive, and genuinely invested in guests’ comfort, they run this KOA with quiet excellence. Frankly, we’re baffled by any negative reviews. In our experience, the service was outstanding and the site beyond expectations.
Our two dogs were in heaven. The pet area features an impressive obstacle course and a running space that’s easily the best we’ve seen in our travels. It’s clear that four-legged family members are just as welcome as the two-legged kind.
In short, this is a five-star campground without question. Whether you're passing through or planning a longer stay, Hinton/Jasper KOA Holiday is the kind of place that reminds you why you fell in love with road travel in the...
Read moreTerrible customer service. We booked a deluxe cabin for 4 days the beginning of August and paid about 600.00. My wife fell and injured her knee. We called 2 weeks ahead to cancel and was told by an Asian sounding woman that we could cancel, but we would not get a refund, s if they would not be able to rent it out in 2 weeks. This was upsetting. I then called back to see if we could have have a credit for a different day.. A different woman said we could, so we booked 4 days, the 7th of Aug to the 11th. We arrived on the 7th and got yo our cabin. The cabin was nice, however when we opened the windows, there was a sewer smell coming in. We closed the windows. A few days later, it was raining. We opened the windows and the smell was not as bad. I went to the office and told the lady at the desk about the smell. She stated that they have a septic service and the plumber told them the septic system was close to the surface and when it rains the septic rises. She stated when it dries out the smell is gone. I said "I guess we just have to live with it" and we were not going to come back. She said she could not put in a new septic system. I said you could give us a credit. She just looked at me. I noticed an Asian woman behind her who I found out was the owner. She never said a word and she was close enough to hear everything. I am big on customer service and get angry when I am not given good...
