Have camped here twice during the last 2 summers with a 20 foot trailer and 3 kids.. sites are very well treed and separated from neighboring sites... This is one of the few campsites where you still fell like you are actually camping and not just in a parking lot with other big RVs--has a rustic feel to it... no powered sites... flush toilets and running water in each of the loops of the campground, but the washrooms them selves seem dated with some stalls missing doors and just generally looking old... there is a creek running behind some campsites that is usually dry...1 time we went the bugs were absent, 1 time went the skeeters were pretty bad.... closest campground to the Miette Hot Springs ( a scenic 20 min drive away). No showers in campground, but the prices at the Hot springs are so reasonable we just made it a habit to go there (19 bucks for a family to soak at hot springs). Good chance you will see sheep or some form of wildlife on route to the hot springs.... like other sites in the Park, you need to pay for a fire permit by the day (about 8 bucks per day), and this gives you unlimited wood each day...I have found the staff to be cordial and polite , but not super friendly...If you have a generator, there is an hour and half in the morning you can use it (around b -fast time), and an hour and a half (around supper time), that you can use it... Usually less booked up that the main ones in Jasper (i.e Whistlers)...Overall, we like this campground because we can pull a small trailer there from Edmonton relatively easy, it feels like you are in a forest and not a parking lot, and it is close to the...

My friends and I came to this campground at 9:50pm on the 21st hoping there was a spot available after camping plans fell through. While driving up to the kiosk the blinds were quickly pulled down and once we were at the kiosk we could hear people laughing inside. I waited for a few minutes and continued to be ignored. Knocked on the window and drove around to the other side and was just hoping to get some help finding a spot. We were probably ignored for 10 minutes and the girl was very short and quick to say they're closed when she finally came out. Told us to go to overflow camping which wasn't much help since we would've driven towards Jasper anyways. I'm very familiar with the reservation process, QVE, and the kiosk as well since I work for Parks at a campground. The people in the kiosk were very rude to us for absolutely no reason. Seemed to think it was funny as well since they all just hid in the kiosk laughing. I'm not one to write bad reviews but this was just ridiculous. Unfortunately the people in the kiosk that night made a bad first impression of the campground and we won't be going to this campground next time in Jasper because of the lack of professionalism and...

Pocahontas is about 25 - 30 minutes outside Jasper town on the Edmonton road. Make sure you stock up on the essentials for your stay because there are no stores nearer than Jasper. There are good clean washrooms/toilets, but no showers. There is a sanitation station in Jasper, close to the RV parking lot, but not easy to find and no fresh water. Sites are basic with no hookups, and it was quite difficult filling our fresh tank because the tap/faucet was too far from the roadway. The main problem, which is no faut of the campground, was the mosquitos - big as sparrows and as voracious as pirhannas! This made it impossible to eat outside, or, to the disappointment of the grandkids, toast marshmallows!||We visited Miete hot springs a couple of times and loved them. The water temperature was a perfect 39 degrees - good for soaking but too warm (and busy) for swimming. We did the fairly strenuous hike that starts at car park to the top of the mountain for superb views, and a blast from the...

It’s a really nice campground! Super quiet and well shaded. You’re still in direct sight of your neighbours though. Much easier to find reservations here compared to ones closer to Jasper. It’s unaffected by the fire too so it’s also much nicer too imo. Close to the hot springs and connected to a fun short trail with an old mine. Check-in is at the door. Free firewood although it’s left in a big pile out in the open so had no luck lighting the soggy logs. The shower area’s pretty nice. There’s parking right in front so you can drive right up too if you don’t want to walk. I saw some comments recommend loop B as the best spot so that’s what I chose. Walking around though, all the spots look pretty good tbh. There’s no cell signal on the grounds itself but you can get some bars if you walk a bit towards the highway.

One of the best campgrounds tjat we have visited.  This campground is miles better than Wabasso, Whistlers and Wapiti.  We stayed in C loop and every site had tons of trees for privacy.  Very large sites as well.  Staff are very friendly and they don't pester you and ask you 100 questions when you check in like they do in Banff.  They also had nice wash stations to do your dishes as well.  Hot water too, not just cold!  Lots of places to get firewood as well.  The campground is extremely quiet too as it is away from the noise of the highway.  No trains going off in the middle of the night either ;) We also loved that this camoground was quite close to Hinton which has a lot more places to shop such as Walmart, Canadian Tire, Freson Bros as opposed to the town of Jasper We will definitely be returning!

Lovely experience camping here! + Lots of tall trees in camp spots for privacy and shade + Easily affordable + Very clean bathrooms with flush toilets! 🚽 + Easy, flat layout with facilities nearby + Generous Free Firewood provided + Friendly staff at the front desk + Nice policies on curfew/noise + Can personally say we had helpful, friendly neighbours in the campground next to us - (Not unique to this place) There are a massive number of mosquitos - We had a small fire pit with un-detachable grill - Rather far for camping away from any big city - Hard to book as it’s a rather popular campground. Had such a good time we wanted to stay an extra day mid-week, -unfortunately they were completely booked.
