Mountain Haven Cabins — Hotel in Alberta

I can say that we were rather disappointed in the condition of the cabin. It looks as though it has been some time since cleaning under the heater had taken place, and when it turned on one morning you could smell the burning dust. The couch was in disrepair, and also had not been dusted all the way back to the end of the chair arms, the walls had something spilled and smeared on them, and the kitchen was dirty. The microwave it was still greasy from the previous tenants, and we had to get creative with the supplies provided as most were melted and not useable. ||||With the rules and guidelines, we had received, we anticipated that this was a well-cared for, clean location that held high standards of its guests. This was not what we found. ||||Outside of the cleanliness we were also disappointed in the facilities. Half the playground had bird poop on it, and wasn't useable, the trampoline though enjoyed by our daughter was somewhat concerning with springs hanging from it, and holes in the matt, deflated basketball and no hoop, and the chairs around the firepit also had bird poop. ||||Additionally, though we were able to work through it, the hot water system and shower situation could use improvement. The floor with the deep drain is dangerous, a drain extension would be a benefit, and we had to call out to one another when the on-demand system started to beep or we were getting froze. ||||We truly wish the amazing view and the lovely bedroom situation made up for the rest but it simply doesn't. Thankfully we had a promotion for staying, if we had spent the regular nightly rate, we would have been asking...

My husband and I just stayed in September for a week. These cabins are cozy And have a great view however our cabin was filthy!! I don’t believe the cabin had been cleaned between us and the last guests. The floors were not swept or vacuumed. There was pee on the toilet seat poop under the toilet seat. Counters were dirty. Dusting rag left out on the stair but it looked like the cabin hadn’t been dusted in a long time. The cabinets on the insides had coffee spilt in them and everything was just filthy inside. Went to use the bbq it was so dirty And disgusting we didn’t use it again. So after we had documented everything with pictures. I spent the first night there just making it clean enough to stay in! Because of COVID the owner said she was unable to check us in. But we stayed for a week and didn’t get ask if we needed anything. The owner had been in our cabin during the week without letting us know they would be coming in. I left the owner a note explaining our disappointment in the state of the cabin. And never heard from her even apologizing. We did make sure and clean everything before we left and took pictures just in case there was problems. All the reviews are so good I don’t know if this was an oversight on their part. But unfortunately we wont be back and we won’t be recommending...

Amazing views, but unfriendly staff

Pro: they have a amazing mountain view They have the proper kitchen equipment to host 7 people. The cabins are clean. Cozy and comfortable

Con: Some broken items. Stove control fell off at first touched and we told the manager. She was very angry at us. But we didn't even use it. We touched it and it fell off.

Our party rented 2 cabins, half of the chairs in the cabinets are broken. The moment you sit on it, the legs would split. The staircase railing in one of the cabin was very unstable. Upper floor window might be broken, can't close the window. It was windy and cold at night. There is a information sheet, the notes on the table has inconsistent information. One said, the trampoline is broken due to storm. One said the entire play ground is broken.

The notes also stated that we can't use the fireplace inside the house. But didn't tell us that there is a space heater. We discovered that upon checking out.

Overall, cabin was okay. We would rent it again if it wasn't for our encounters...
