I wouldn’t even rate this place a 1, not even to give it a chance. Let me tell you why, we were there since September 1st 2023 until February 29th 2024 and I honestly regret it but couldn’t get into any other campgrounds. Honestly wish there was an option for 0. 1. Broken dryers and washers they expect you to use one of them vs how many sites lol?! 2. The facilities are disgusting , they close them mid day and in the winter time this is very unsanitary because you don’t have anywhere else to use the washroom unless you haul your stuff because they don’t PROVIDE WATER OR SEWER!!!!!!!!!!!! How do you expect people to go to the bathroom? On your front lawn ? Honestly… 3. You can’t do your dishes because the wash station outside doesn’t work, and inside the washrooms there’s big signs saying if you wash your dishes it is an immediate eviction. 4. They don’t have water running at the dump station to rinse your belongings….. 5. They charge almost $1000.00 a month for a crammed site where your literally bumper to bumper and don’t have space 6. There internet is TRASH 7. The staff are lazy, incompetent, and harassed us 2-3 times a day for apparently renewing a “Lease” that we didn’t even sign etc …. Like it’s campground …: didn’t think leases were a thing here?! lol 8. SOMEONE LITERALLY GOT MURDERED HERE AND NOW THEY HAVE STAFF PROWLING THE CAMPGROUND AND MAKING SURE PEOPLE CLEAN UP AFTER THEMSELVES WHEN PRIOR IT WAS DISGUSTING 9. You smell feeces 24.7 10. They had someone stay there who got very aggressive and had mental issues and threw things at our trailer for no reason and asked my 9 year old son if he wanted to go over to her trailer …:::: and staff knew how she was and didn’t do much. Didn’t even apologize to us about it. The view from our trailer was disgusting parts , broken picnic tables etc everywhere in front of the garage. There’s only 2 showers you can use out of 4….. and the floors and disgusting in them and the piping and there’s mold at the top ….. expect to find all the toilets to be filled with poop or puke ..:: if you took a UV light to the toilet you would see how disgusting it truly is I caught a severe uti and now recovering. The water is disgusting here my kids and I ended up sick 4x since being here And this campground will gossip about your business to others. You guys make how much and can’t even fix your things ???? Like your gate is fobbed but you don’t even hand one out for your residence .,, it doesn’t ever close …:: maybe the shooting wouldn’t have happened if it was closed!? Super nosy Super irresponsible Not impressed and can’t believe I stayed this long I know 3 others who I communicated with daily and said nope this isn’t right and left at the exact same time. HIGHLY HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND. I have more photos but can upload only so much But showers have been out of service for months maybe longer!!!!!!!!!!! I’m at another campground who finally has room and it’s luxury , water and sewer hook ups!! And and it’s gated and locked up 24.7 you can only get in with a fob …. Like these people care …..mountain view doesn’t (Only when someone gets murdered)

The park was easy to find. It is located just east of the city of Calgary near the Trans Canada Highway. There is pavement all the way including in the park. Signage is adequate. Check in was efficient and friendly. The rules are fairly basic. The interior roads are in need of attention. Plenty of areas where the pavement is crumbling even thought pot holes are being patched. Our site, 35, was a pull through that was easily long enough for our Coach and Towed. Services (30/50 amp, water and sewer only) were to the left side. Distancing is close for a rural park and the sites are “buddy” in that your door faces your neighbors door. There is NO privacy. Each site has a table but NO fire pit. Fire pits are portable and available at the office. Our site was flat and even. The vegetation was in transition from winter to spring and the grounds were being prepared accordingly. The park has many permanents but there were very few “trashy” sites. There is NO park included wifi or cable TV. We did not search for any OTA channels. Satellite should not be difficult. We did not use the washrooms, showers or laundromat but we checked and found them clean. There is a “dog park” but it is not totally fenced and right next to the highway so be aware! There are no restaurants or stores within easy walking distance but just a short drive away you can find food, shopping and convenience stores. We found this park to be an okay overnighter. We paid $70.63 inc tax and the $2.00 charge for the dog per night and we feel we received poor value. We will look for an alternative if in the area again

I found the previous negative reviews to be completely wrong. They had me hesitating to stay here, but found the front office answered their phone the multiple times I called. We were here for the Calgary Stampede and they had a pancake breakfast you could buy since pancakes go hand-in-hand with the stampede. They had a school bus set up to shuttle you over for $10 one way per person. or $20 RT per person. Parking at the event was $30 if you could find it and have a car. Uber and Lyft were charging $60 one way. It was very convenient to have the shuttle. They let us check in at 11 before check in so we could grab their first shuttle down at 11:30am. They had two drop off and pick up times. Taking you there either 11:30am or 5:30pm and pickup where they drop you off at 6:30pm or midnight. Worked great. I would recommend dropping a pin where you are dropped off to help you find your way back as there are a lot of people and can look different than when you arrived. We had a pull through with full hook ups and it more than fit all 65 ft of us. The bathrooms are cleaned everyday between 11-1:30. They are dated, but not filthy at all. Trash was completely cleaned up and in trash receptacles and this is their busiest time during the 100th anniversary of the Calgary Stampede. I found nothing in the previous reviews to be accurate. The sites aren’t that tight. I have been in much tighter ones. I recommend this park. Good WiFi too. Better than most campgrounds.

Me and my family lived at mountain view camp ground for over a year as full timers. There are many things to say, but I’ll start with the positive.

The bathrooms are cleaned every day (although the showers don’t seem to come clean) the store has a good selection and items are priced fairly. There is an off leash dog park area (that’s half fenced), and a nice mini golf course. There is also a nice little park that is fenced in, beautiful peacocks on site to visit, and the sites them selfs are small, but adequate.

Now for the negative. The biggest down fall of this business is the excessive rules (that are not consistent and only apply to some people who the staff do not like), and the constant lack of professionalism of some staff members. This may seem minor but the amount of stress, worry, and anger some staff member caused… was more than anyone could take. Last week one of there workers hit our 6 inch long dog stake that was in the ground, with a lawn mower. It knocked it loose enough that the dog got out and was loose. During that time the stake was still attached and a gentleman got his leg scratched by the stake. They blamed us even after seeing what the lawn mower did to the stake. A few days later the office moved us randomly, when we were not to move till the 15th. They also changed our booked spot and put us in a site that was way too small. Because of this we had to park either half way in another persons site, or with 2 wheels on the grass. We of course chose the grass, as we did not want to up set the other resident by taking half of there spot. Yesterday one of the office workers driving around noticed this and asked us to move. We moved immediately. Then a few hours later they called us into the office and told us we had 24 hours to leave. During the conversation we were accused of stealing, and more or less called a bad parent.

Other down falls include very very out dated bathroom facilities (with black mold in the men’s room, no locks on some stall doors, and only a normal shower curtain for privacy in the shower). If you do not get ice cold water or scolded during your shower, consider yourself lucky. The laundry machines are broken almost every single week I went in, and there was many many times the toilet over flowed and the whole bathroom floor was covered. There is garbage all over the place, all the time. You are not allowed a rug or mat of any kind, yet many of the sites have lots of dirt, and become a mud pit when it rains. Lastly, do not use the water with out a filter. There is so much calcium it will wreck all you equipment.

This camp ground is ideal for a weekend or a couple weeks, but if you’re looking for long terms… look for another camp ground and sale yourself all the unnecessary drama, stress, and fear of being kicked out at...

TL;DR This campground is a dangerous nightmare. I've camped in over 100 different campgrounds across Canada during the last 5 years and this campground has achieved my worst experience so far!!!

-The office staff are extremely rude and hostile- they treat you with suspicion and contempt. Mandy, in particular, delves far beyond usual campground business and feels she should be entitled to your entire personal circumstances. Mandy also lies and fabricates events whenever convenient, so CYA and watch out for that. -The staff don't communicate with each other so messages, requests and questions are frequently ignored, lost or forgotten. In the office, Jillian will give you a discount for something and weeks later Mandy will reverse the discount and charge extra for the inconvenience. -The 20amp sites are badly wired and dangerous; breakers popping, surging, you can hear it crackling. It will damage your converter and powerboard -The facilities are outdated, hardly usable, and unavailable for 2 hours daily. Showers are dilapetated, barely work and not free (the truck stop charges less for a better shower). The toilets are usually plugged and the tissue paper is the lowest possible quality. Bathrooms are locked and half the time the code doesn't work. The laundry machines eat every second loonie. -The water is slimy and smells like sulfur. It leaves a thick white residue on everything- watch your filters and plumbing. -The entire park smells of septic frequently. -People come here at night to steal so keep everything locked up. -The office doesn't answer the phone or return calls. The office doesn't keep their own business hours; half of the time it's locked up and no one's around. -The entrance to this campground is very tight, with steep ditches, a steep entrance and cracked pavement. If your rig is low, don't even try. They don't salt in winter, so the exiting the campground is a dangerous nightmare. -The campground is on a busy road just off of a very dangerous intersection on the transcanada so expect lots of noise and sirens.

Find an alternative because this campground should be lower than your last resort. If you're forced to stay here make sure your insurance is up to date and locks sturdy. For myself, I would rather...
