We stayed here for 3 nights between our visits to Banff and Jasper to give us ample time to explore the sights along the Icefield Parkway. Located just 20 minutes south of the Icefield Centre was an ideal location. Plus the park was quiet and peaceful in a setting enough distance from the road to not hear the traffic and was along the Mistaya River. Only a couple of sites are suitable for larger rigs like ours. We were in site 12 which could accommodate our 35' fifth wheel easily. While larger rigs would fit as well, turning around would be a bit more of a problem. There are many sites right along the river that would work for tents and smaller rigs. There are no services - we dry camped. There is no dump station or camper water fill here either - so be prepared. Firewood was included in the campsite fee. There is no cell service along the...

This place was okay for a stopover for a night. We arrived just before dusk and had a difficult time navigating where the 2 sections of first come first served sites were. The first area on the right are fcfs sites you can park in but the other fcfs sites closer to the river are walk in only. We drove around a long one way road twice before we saw the sign. We felt a little secluded and backed into the pitch black forest where we were, I'm not one to be scared while camping but this place freaked me out a bit for some reason. Definitely possible that my daughter talking about the wolf attack here a couple years ago may have contributed to my uneasiness! But fairy lights helped give the illusion of safety. The outhouse was...

Without any doubt, the worst campsite I’ve stayed at. The one we got was literally right next to outhouses (site #9). Like absolutely no separation. So not only there’s no privacy, the amount of noise is just insane. Good luck going to sleep early or waking up late.

But wait, there’s more! There’s basically no usable firewood. Few logs that are there are wet. People who stayed here a night before said that barely any is being brought, nowhere near enough to give everyone a chance to have a campfire. The campsite was full btw. People have to go to a gas station nearby to buy firewood, after already supposedly paying for it as part of the reservation fee (which explicitly includes...

One of the cleanest camp grounds ive been to. Stayed on site 44 and had direct access to the running river and beautiful views. This is a self check in camp ground, so there wasnt anyone to take our info at the time we came (Sept long weekend). We did see staff cutting up free firewood which was a pleasant surprise. The outbacks were very clean, had toilet paper and hand sanitizer. Our neighbours were respectful, quiet, allowing us to really enjoy the peace and quiet. We did have some nature visit us overnight too! Not sure what it was but found fresh paw prints by the water 20 ft from our tent lol. Would def come back again.
