Rosebud Country Inn — Hotel in Alberta

Here's the review I wrote on Rosebud Country Inns Facebook page in 2016...

I just want to say thank you to BJ and her staff for their charming accommodations and gracious hospitality this past weekend for our Staff Christmas Party. The response from everyone was, that it was a "class act". From the minute we arrived to the minute we left, everyone truly enjoyed themselves and felt welcomed. They were all thoroughly impressed with their rooms (one staff member commented that it reminded her of home back east...she actually didn't want to leave). The Inn was decorated very festive for the occasion, and we enjoyed ourselves in the vaulted-ceiling gathering space for spirits and laughter prior to and after the show "Miracle on 34th Street". When it was time to retire to our rooms, the beds had been turned down, with an extra-special delectable pastry (made by Mousse Cake Sally) was awaiting our arrival. Prior to heading out the next morning, we were served a delicious breakfast. Not certain how we will top this for our Christmas Party next year. This is definitely a must for anyone's bucket list ! ! !

It is three years later (Dec 2018) and we again took the staff to the Rosebud Country Inn for our Christmas Party. The comments were definitely the same. BJ & her staff even saved us some homemade pie for when we got back from the production (Sherlock Holmes & the Case of the Christmas Carol) for our midnight snack...they have an awesome Pie Shoppe with gluten-free options that definitely needs to be checked out.

It was the opening night of the play at the Rosebud Theatre............................ ..”A Christmas Story” We had come to Rosebud with friends to celebrate our anniversary. What a great play! It’s a must to see! Such good seats with our package.

From the time you walk up the pathway to the Rosebud Country Inn and go in until you close the door to leave it’s magical. The Christmas decorations and all the Christmas trees inside the Inn are very festive. We were warmly greeted by a courteous and friendly staff. Owners BJ and Ken go the extra mile to accommodate their guests. What gracious hospitality!

If you are looking for a gift idea or just want to treat yourself I highly recommend the combined theatre package that the Rosebud Country Inn offers. You will be glad you did! So many extra bonuses I can’t mention them all but some are the fresh baked pies to the homemade breakfast.

The Inn is very clean & the rooms nicely laid out. The bed & pillows were comfortable. They have a quiet & efficient air conditioner in the room. Ask for assistance to turn off the light at night on the A/C unit as it will shine brightly in the room all night- which ours did. A disappointment was with the quality of the breakfast at the inn. There are very small portions, no choice in what you have & not appetizing. We felt for the price paid we would have received a more substantial & appealing breakfast. We also had lunch & found it too had very small portions, along with few choices & ridiculously high prices. The one staff that covered the front desk, served in the dining room & made lunch was pleasant & efficient. It was our anniversary & despite mentioning that when the reservation was made we never received any acknowledgement of that. We never met the owner despite our understanding she was at the Inn.
