I hesitate to even review Skoki because it feels like sharing a secret that you don’t want the masses to learn about. Skoki Lodge is one of the most unique lodge/hotel experiences I’ve had in my life. I first heard about Skoki from an article that ranked the best hike-in destination lodges. After a spectacularly scenic 7 mile hike in that is moderately challenging, you find this quaint old log lodge that can host a total of 25 people. Inside is a wonderfully rustic and charming setting. A large community dining experience and couches around an old stove. For breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks, the team at Skoki, led by the amazing manager Alex and a team of fine dining chefs, feed you gourmet meals that seem out of context so deep in the woods. And yet the fresh ingredients and attention to detail create a magical woodsy dining experience. Our dining experience was even followed by the telling of a fun bear story written as a poem. The walls of the rooms may be cardboard thin, but everyone was quiet and respectful. And ear plugs are provided. The staff waits on you offering drinks, charcuterie, trail mix and cookies. They even catered (with advanced notice) to our group’s gluten free needs. And after breakfast each morning they bring you lunches to pack for your hiking adventures. Huge thank you to Alex, Sam, Dan, and the whole staff. We feel like our group of 6 made friends with everyone there and were pointed to day hikes that we will never forget.

I can’t speak highly enough about Skoki. When you combine the 11 KM / 500 M journey (honestly, make sure in you’re in great shape / have the right gear), with the amazing rustic lodge, spectacular scenery, first class service and absolutely delicious food, it is one of the most special experiences I’ve had the chance to have. Being so remote, there is no power, no running water and after taking this in snowy late December, there’s no way I would want it different. Yes there are out houses, and it just added to the experience. If you’re the type of person who can’t deal with that, don’t go and certainly don’t lower your rating over that. If you’re the type of person who can appreciate the majesty of a rustic log cabin in the Canadian Rockies backcountry, with amazing people and wonderful food, you will have memories that will last a lifetime.

This place is such a gem. Anyone who makes the super fun trek to get here is rewarded with the most beautiful and cozy log cabin experience. The dining and lounging areas are made for communal fun and relaxation. The food was fantastic and all the staff were constantly working to make sure everyone had everything they needed. They (Judy especially) went above and beyond to accommodate my friend who has celiac restrictions. The whole place is meticulous inside and out. We stayed in the main lodge which is fun and perhaps a bit noisy, but that didn't bother me at all- and they did offer earplugs to anyone who needed them. It was such a treat to be out there. I would be delighted to find my way back there anytime of the year, but winter at Skoki is a wonderland.

I went with my husband for a two night stay at Skoki staying in Fossil room. The journey there was very special despite being challenging at times but wow the scenery was unbelievable, it took us around 5 hours at a slower pace due to an injury. ||When we arrived at Skoki lodge we had the warmest of welcomes from the entire team on duty, with the reward of a wonderful charcuterie board which we enjoyed with a nice glass of wine. The room was beautiful with a fabulous Mountain View ( well we were rather surrounded by them) and although the bed was very high it was super comfy. It was a very special experience to meet and chat with other guests before dinner - which was incredible- all the food was absolutely delicious. The team were all so friendly, efficient and so helpful. Eden was absolutely lovely and Maggie great along with everyone else - all super attentive without being intrusive. Daniel was unbelievable and so very wonderful with a warm embracing personality and also incredibly talented playing a concert for us on our last night, enjoyed by all the guests.|I must also mention how brilliant Alex was and again what a talent as she had the entire table completely captivated with her incredible story telling - a poem of her trip back in to get ready for Skoki reopening…….. you could have heard a pin drop with the silence of everyone listening. I would love to hear it again!||So thank you all Team Skoki for the most amazing trip ever! It will stay in my heart and memories forever- you are a very special team...

We just returned from three nights at Skoki in the Honeymoon Cabin and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Ed, Vanessa, Chef Hannah and the rest of the staff ensure you have anything you need, including great information and tips to get you everywhere you need to go.||We took the shuttle to Temple Day Lodge (make sure you do, that road is otherwise not enjoyable), and were at the lodge by 1:30. Tea (delicious charcuterie) is served from 2-4, dinner is at 6:45. They have beer, wine, G&Ts, and a whisky cockail for purchase as well.||Each morning at 7:15, a thermos of hot water is brought to your room for washing, this also serves as a gentle wake up call to make sure you are ready for breakfast at 7:45. Packed lunches for the day are distributed at breakfast. When the meal is done, Ed or Vanessa will break out maps to discuss hiking choices for the day, make sure you stay to discuss your route with them even if you know where you are going already. They have a lot of great tips you would not otherwise know about.||We hiked up to Merlin Lake on the first day (definitely do it) and then around Skoki on the second day. We would have liked to take Packer's Pass on the way out, but there were nasty thunderstorms rolling in so we decided to stay on Deception Pass Trail. The shuttle from Temple back to the parking lot is there at 2:30, we were at Temple by 1:00 and decided to hike out, I believe it took around 40 minutes.||Again, magial spot with great staff.
