Waterton Reservoir Provincial Recreation Area — Hotel in Alberta

Beautiful campground - windy as expected in Alberta but absolutely stunning! There is a water pump - not suitable for drinking but good for washing or bring a filter and boil it. Well maintained and plenty of garbage bear bins picnic tables and a good gravel road. Too late in the year for any swimming for us and the reservoir is low right now but a nice place to hang your hammock and camp. Excellent park, they excel at keeping the place clean and hoodlum free. They are accepting of weed and alcohol but to a point! We had a great time swimming and jumping from the dock. The water had a beautiful color and at the time we were there the shore was very clean. It’s a beautiful view with the mountains in the background. Absolutely enjoyable, we’ll definitely come back...
