This past week, we had the absolute delight in renting out the Wolf Den to host our beautiful forest wedding! The venue was absolutely stunning, you can tell they appreciate being a part of the surrounding nature, everything being so well maintained while preserving what makes this area special. We dealt mostly with Mike, who helped us organize everything we could need for our wedding. He was so helpful, and flexible and made it feel like we were just organizing a fun time with a friend than anything stressful. We set up a tent for the ceremony and for dinner and danced in the screened in outdoor kitchen. We got married in front of their beautiful wild flower garden. Everyone could sleep over in the cabins and it made for such a strong sense of community and fun. If anyone is looking for a great place to have an event, this is it. The owner Jacques and another staff Dom came and went, always asking if we needed any help and offering their support in anything we could've needed. It was a perfect weekend and a perfect wedding thanks to the Wolf Den and everyone involved.

Love this destination as a winter getaway. Came here once many years ago without kids and enjoyed the quick access to trails and sightseeing. This time we came back with friends and kids and we had a great time. We had the River Otter Cabin and the Chickadee cabin between 3 families and the River Otter cabin was great to accommodate us all to gather to eat and play games. The location of the cabins is a nice benefit too: close to Algonquin Park, close to Huntsville, and minutes from Ragged Falls for a morning hike with a view. You could easily occupy all your time on the property but if youre looking for an outing there is lots nearby including some great bakeries in Dwight. Staff were welcoming and we had all the information we needed to enjoy a comfortable stay. The kitchen was fully equipped to feel like we were cooking at home. The kids are hoping we make this a routine getaway .

Very very beautiful hostel and highly recomended for families, bachelors and friends. Because it is best spot to hang out and chill out. Hots is very helpful all the time and will accommodate our requests. My friends didnt want to go out once saw this place and you feel like it embraces you with warm hands on cold day. It has both outdoor and indoor games for kids, propane supplied barbecue, wooden fireplace outside and they supply wood as-well. All cooking utensils are available along with barbecue sticks if you are lucky enough. Host allowed us to stay in living area after 10:30pm even though silent hours are started(of-course we are playing silently). One thing worth mentioning is fresh brew of coffee, it is so refreshing and aromatic everyone loved it. So who ever reading this review don't think of other things and please book your room right away, worth varma worth!!!!

I had an excellent stay in Nan and Jack's cabin for 3 nights this past week. The cabin was clean, charming and has everything you need. The best part is the location!!!! I love spending time in Algonquin Park (so much so that I have an Ontario Parks pass which is an excellent value by the way), so I appreciated being so close to the park entrance. If you don't have a pass, they did leave a pass in the cabin that you could use for $10. Staying inside the park at Killarney Lodge, Bartlett Lodge or Arowhon Pines is really expensive so staying at Wolf Den is a great value. Check in and check out were so easy. I also appreciated getting an email a week before my stay with some information about check in, what to expect in the cabin and suggestions of what to bring. The day before I arrived I received another email with information of where exactly to find the cabin. So the entire process was so easy! In addition, there is a dock for everyone to use on the Oxtongue river and it was so beautiful and fun kayaking to Ragged Falls! Other things I liked was the quiet and calm atmosphere. Take note there is slight car noise coming from Highway 60 but nothing crazy...there are tons of trees which muffle out the sound. The positive with this is you are so close to the highway to get yourself to Algonquin Park! Other random things to mention were that the bed was comfortable and with the windows open there was a lovely breeze coming into the cabin so I wasn't hot. One of the nights a friend of mine stayed and she said the pull out couch in Nan and Jack's cabin was comfy. To that point, they provided clean sheets and towels so like I mentioned earlier, the cabin has everything you need. The water from the tap is filtered so you don't even need to bring plastic water bottles...just bring your reusable water bottle. Overall I had a fantastic stay here and highly recommend this place! I will definitely...

Wow! What a fabulous, inexpensive place to take a quick holiday. This was my first time staying at Wolfden and it hopefully won't be the last. The employees are very helpful and welcoming, helping us locate trails and their canoes you can rent for $25 for the day and they supplied life jackets as well. We stayed in one of the bunkhouses which is technically one cabin split into 3 separate smaller sleeping quarters. We had comfortable beds and they supplied the blankets, towels and pillows. They also have electrical so you can charge phones etc. they also had heaters and fans if needed which is awesome. They have a beautiful outdoor, but enclosed kitchen with two gas range stoves, 2 large fridges and a large freezer that came in really handy with extra storage for all your dry goods as well. Multiple BBQs to use which is great! Bathrooms and showers are kept clean and the employees are always changing out towels. The atmosphere is very welcoming and everyone staying was very respectful and responsible. If you are a laid back family/person this place is for you. Will...
