We arrived to help with the fires and were told she was fully booked, no rooms available… 5 minutes later we were handed keys to 2 rooms. First night, pulled back the covers to be greeted by bloodstained sheets, in both beds. Called to ask if other rooms were available to which I was told no, and yet, there were several rooms that were not being occupied in my time there. I actually considered setting up my tent in the room because who knows what else was in the bed I couldn’t see. The TV would intermittently work. The fridge froze all my food even at the lowest setting. The microwave barely worked. Takes about 10 minutes before getting hot water in the “Renovated” bathrooms, which include chipped paint from lack of prep, the original old shower head, and surprise, blood stained towels. Judging by the replies from the owner to other reviews, I will probably get a snarky response. Regardless, that doesn’t change the fact of this motel being a last resort.

Gurwinder has been amazing to our staff. Very accommodating. She works to much at times. She will even do the laundry at times. One of the most kind people I've met in a very long time. Happy to stay here any time and highly recommend her motel.

Called late evening for one night stay about a week ago with dog while on the road through Canada to Alaska. Friendly lady said they had pet friendly room available. Definitely did not receive the reduced logging company rate once I arrived, but when you account for chain hotels' pet fees, it was still a fair price. WiFi did not work - input provided login info and was met with insufficient bandwidth message right away - but just there to rest so I did not make a fuss with the front desk. Television worked great. Decor was a bit aged, but for what it is, was nice overall stay and convenient in between larger towns/cities. Large grassy area for pets. Patio furniture outside with ashtray for the smokers to keep rooms smoke free is nice. Key drop in morning for checkout was convenient. Warning to Google Maps users: the location of the hotel is off by several kilometers (wrong town even and literally shows only trees on Google Maps including Street View). Fortunately my in-car GPS had the proper location. Have tried to make map edit twice now. First edit "could not be verified", so hopefully the second one will update with proper location. Listed under RV park of same name, so search for that for...

Stayed a couple of times in 6 months ending 14NOV21. Always clean quiet, had a new competent respectful friendly onsite resident manager. Last fall I met the new owner who was rude and unfriendly. 14 NOV was "the great deluge" (The Flood of 21. Hwy#1 blocked SB & NB and I just squeaked out NB. I called the manager later to check on her, as she was by herself. Motel was full and people being turned away. Power was off. I knew she was moving away the next day. Boston Bar locked in by multiple slides. Owner could not get back from Surrey, told the manager she was to be off the property the 15t h, wanted full rate $129 for rooms with no power, no TV, no clean linen etc. There was no place for the manager to stay. Stuck there overnight the owner called the RCMP on the 16th to have her evicted. This lady worked there long shifts 6 days a week and has been treated abominably. The displaced travelers called the media the next day to complain. Under pressure, in this crisis, the owner dropped the room rate by half , had NO STAFF on for 16th and days later and still expected to get paid. There is more. In the midst of this crisis the conduct of the owner was utterly...
