Sunshine Villa B&B — Hotel in Area A (Egmont/Pender Harbour)

WOW, I don't know where to start. We decided to take a quick overnight trip to the Sunshine Coast and stumbled upon Sunshine Villa B & B when looking for a place to lay our heads. Lesley and Alex were amazing from the first email interactions to phone calls, to check in, service and check-out. The villa is spacious and very well appointed. Beds and pillows top notch and comfortable and each room had several (yes more than one) luggage racks to accommodate all our stuff. We didn't get to see the master bedroom with en-suite as it was occupied but I’m certain it was as comfortable as the rooms we had; in fact, I saw the other guests enjoying the large balcony at the front of their suite. We made ourselves at home in the sitting room and when we were ready, had a snack and played games at the small table in the corner. In fact, they had an old school stereo system that I knew how to use!! The decor was subtle, homey and relaxing.||||The continental breakfast had such a selection. Bread, bagels, English muffins, pastry, 10 different cereals (yes, almost all of them we healthy) yogurt, juice but best of all, the selection of jams and honey from their own community. Finally, a wide array of teas and coffee to round it all off.||||At this price you would reserve all 4 rooms and take the whole family or a group of friends and experience a home away from home. My wife and I and our puppy had a great stay last weekend and fully enjoyed the Sunshine Villa BNB. We had never stayed at a BNB and always prefered hotels but we decided to give it a try and were pleasantly surprised! Our puppy loved staying there and had a lot of space to roam and go on sniffaries. He also loved getting spoiled by Lesley with some treats and lots of love! The Elk Room was great with a super comfy big bed and great pillows and bedding. I enjoyed the rain shower in our ensuite the huge walk in closet and nice deck to hang out and have a morning coffee or watch the sunset. I also enjoyed the hot tub and the Villa feeling of the whole place. Lesley and Fred were great host and very friendly and we enjoyed our conversations. We also enjoyed our breakfast in the morning with a nice continental assortment including fruit salad, bagels, homemade muffins,yogurt and great coffee and fruit juices. Lesley even sent us home with some of her yummy muffins. We would definitely stay there again if we are in the area. The location is fantastic especially when the sun is shining. The garden is a space you can relax, unwind and spend time in reading, sitting in the hot tub or just taking the beautiful surroundings in. The home itself is spacious and airy, homely and immaculately clean. We stayed in the Wolf room which is nicely decorated, has a lovely comfy queen bed, nice linen, a hairdryer, and a tv with Netflix (a nice bonus). We had everything we needed including the use of a fridge, kettle, tea and coffee and shared a bathroom which Lesley has stocked with everything you need from shampoo to dental floss. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious with a wide variety of cereals, toasts and bagels, fruit, yogurt and delicious home made muffins. The homemade jam selection is exceptional. Lesley is a fantastic host who is knowledgeable about the area and is happy to share her wisdom. Loved getting to hang out with Penny the dog and Bond the cat. When we visit the coast again, the Sunshine Villa B&B will be where we stay. We highly recommend it. Thank you Lesley for a wonderful stay...
