We stayed at Brooks Creek Ranch for 3 nights while on a ski trip to Fernie. It was our first time in Fernie and we where a little reluctant to book off resort, let alone outside of town. The minute we pulled up to the ranch we knew we had made the right choice!||The ranch is nestled in a beautiful spot... Overlooking the river and the mountains. Its quite peaceful. The building is brand new. It is warm and inviting. Our room (we stayed in the delux king) was cozy and clean. We enjoyed the private deck off of our room (especially watching the sunrise over the moutains), the bathroom (that felt like a spa) and the in room french press coffee! The owners have put so much thought into this place. The rooms all have "Alexa", which was nice to use to listen to music & check the weather. The TVs are equipped with movies. There are robes and slippers to use. They provide reusable stainless steel water bottles, as well as a reverse osmosis tap, which made drinking good clean water quite easy! There are also beverages available in the common area throughout the day. ||Aside from our room, we enjoyed the common area, the large deck off of the dinning area, the guest laundry (which was equiped with detergent) and the use of the grounds. We had time to use the snowshoes and head down to the river... Which we both enjoyed. The hot tub is also in a great spot and was a perfect way to end the day. The two couples that run the ranch are friendly, attentive and a pleasure to chat with. They offered rides into town and the ski hill at no extra cost. We chose to drive ourselves... But having the option available was quite nice.||There is so much to say about this place. When comparing for value with other properties in Fernie, we found the price to be fair considering everything that was included in our stay. On top that, there is no other place in Fernie that included a chef inspired breakfast and specialty coffee every morning included in the price of the stay. The food was delicious! There are three breakfast choices every morning plus a continental breakfast. We enjoyed every single thing we ate. ||We would definitely stay again should we return to Fernie! Thank you for the...
Read moreOff the Grid and Awesome. Friends and family took over the Ranch for an epic Fernie Fly Fishing adventure in mid August. Kevin, his family and staff all made us feel welcome and treated us like kings. Even the family dogs made us feel welcome and at home. The facilities and the grounds are impeccable. The suites are handsomely appointed and the beds are pure heaven at the end of a long day of adventure. The breakfasts are a lovely way to start a great day of adventure with "haute cuisine" . The freshly ground and brewed speciality coffees from barista Kevin are second to none. The mountain views and vistas are spectacular. The property is vast, wild and it beckons the hiker, birder and explorer. The ranch is off the grid and the beaten path but it's still so very close to all of the amenities of Fernie. The trips to and from town are opportunities to view birds and wildlife. Elk, deer, bears, magpies, owls and eagles were all seen so often that we came to expect them. The ranch is truly a luxurious retreat in the heart of the Rockies wilderness. Of course, the fishing on the ranch's portion of the Elk River is a huge bonus. Most guide boats make a point of stopping opposite the ranch so as to fish the many holes that hold countless large cutthroat and local bull trout (photos attached). We spent the week fishing various parts of the Elk but we could easily have had a great trip just fishing the ranch. In the end, Brooks Creek Ranch proved to be a wonderful, luxury retreat in the heart of the Rockies and a great base from which to launch countless adventures. Joe and...
