Stunning place, but the woman caretaker has ruined it for our entire party. My friend got married here on August 26, something that was planned as soon as reservations opened in March. On the phone we said we wanted to camp the 25, 26, 27th meaning that we would leave the 28th.

  1. confusing pricing - not charged per site but rather by age of party members. 2 adults, 2 children is $20, but 4 adults is double $40. Maybe we didn’t understand but the amount, $240, seemed right to us at the time of booking for 9 adults.

  2. you do not receive a receipt when you book. The receipt is written in a book and written confirmation only given when you come in. No paper trails except their word vs yours.

  3. when we tried to say this must have been a miscommunication, the caretaker screamed at us and called the Bride a “f’ing Karen.” She told us she would call the cops on us if we weren’t out by 1pm and it was 12:36. When we tried to suggest an emailed receipt could have solved all this, she said they made no mistakes and how dare we accuse them.

  4. no compassion. Yelling at a bride who is in her pajamas the morning after the wedding until she cried, with no paper trail to prove the booking.

All of this was witnessed by the whole group, this place meant everything to bride as her dead mother used to take her camping her before she died. We do not suggest this new management & will have to honour her mom in a new way going forward.

To the caretaker who is asking people to lie on her behalf, shame on you for trying to stretch the truth. Our entire party witnessed this incident and you...

Kin Beach Campground in Comox BC is a wonderful place to stay for anyone looking to explore the beautiful Comox Valley. This campground offers a fantastic location, situated right by the beach and within easy reach of local amenities.

The sites are well-maintained and spacious, and there are plenty of options for both tent and RV camping. The facilities are clean and well-equipped, including hot showers and flush toilets. The campground also offers picnic tables and fire pits at each site, making for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

One of the standout features of Kin Beach Campground is the beach itself. The sandy shore is perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and relaxing, and there are plenty of opportunities for beachcombing and exploring. The location is also ideal for water activities, such as kayaking or paddleboarding.

Additionally, the campground is located close to Comox, which offers a variety of shopping and dining options. The nearby marina is a great place to watch the boats come and go, or to take a stroll along the waterfront.

Overall, I highly recommend Kin Beach Campground for anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing stay in the Comox Valley. The location is unbeatable, the facilities are top-notch, and the beach is...

Beautiful location but absolutely terrible people who run it. If I could give negative stars, I would. We were in a very unfortunate situation due to multiple mistakes that were made on managements end and it could have been easily handled in a much better way. Back in March we booked and paid for multiple sites for multiple nights, but this morning we were interrupted by people moving stuff off our sites saying they had our campsites booked. While trying to resolve this unfortunate situation we were yelled and sworn at by the owner who also threatened to call the cops on us if we didn’t leave by 1 pm, giving us 20 minutes to pack up three whole campsites. This entire situation could’ve been handled much smoother by just giving us a new site or a refund for the extra nights we had already paid for. I have never seen such terrible costumer service in my life and am absolutely appalled at the way we...

There are two tent camping areas: drive up and the midden “hill” . We chose the midden with a full view of the ocean across a narrow field and the beach. This area has no power and you need to walk about 15 metres from where you unload. Then you need to park in a different area that’s about about 30m away from the tent area. There are 4 to 5 tent spots on the midden that face the ocean. It’s a nice and easy 200m walk from the tents to the ocean. The midden tent areas have two nearby portapoddies and a nicer outhouse by the parking. There is an outside shower by the camping. Friendly managers of the campground. It was easy to reserve a spot by calling the campground directly (on-line reservations are not possible). The office also has basic supplies.

A small and simple provincial park that it tucked away on a good stretch of beach. Overlooking the ocean between Comox and the mainland by Fraser River, the area is beautiful to look at. The beach is long, if a bit rocky, and you can watch the ferry go across. There are several sites for RV camping along with an office and camp store with supplies. For day visitors there is a gravel parking lot along with plenty of picnic tables, benches, and a small park. The beach access is an easy and short gravel trail. A good park to visit for camping with access to ocean views, or a nice day stop of a picnic and a stroll.

My girlfriend and I stayed at King Beach for two days just recently and enjoyed it immensely. The camping spot that was assigned to us was perfect. It was an out of the way spot that gave us complete privacy and protected us from the wind that was gusting quite strongly. Also, the gentleman at the office was super friendly and helpful and we enjoyed listening to his stories of what it was like running this camp ground over the past three years. I guarantee that you won't be disappointed staying here and will have some good memories and stories to share with your friends and families.
