Manning Park is another hidden gem in the outdoor adventure category of BC. Only a 2 hour drive from Vancouver, it's a secluded and picturesque getaway that you can easily accomplish in a day. The ski area itself is small and unassuming, with two main chairs that serve all the runs. We arrived on a day that was forecasted to be clear and sunny, and within 20 minutes of our arrival the weather changed from heavy snow to blue skies. Was a beautiful powder day, with fresh tracks throughout many terrain areas and mostly ungroomed loose snow on major routes. The resort has a locals-only, secret hangout-type vibe. Many skilled local skiers, families and seemingly few tourists. Despite being peak season (late December) and an absolutely gorgeous day, lift lines weren't more than 15 minutes at any point; a dream compared to other resorts at this time. At every turn, the staff at Manning Park were friendly, helpful and fun. Manning Park is definitely worth the trip from Vancouver if you want to get away from crowds and craziness in places like Grouse and Whistler.

I came here by myself at the end of January. I've been here before but it's been since pre-covid times. This place is amazing. I can't knock the park for the conditions as the snow was not awesome when I was there but nonetheless, I had a great time. One of the lift attendants kept seeing me every time I went up the lift and she'd make small talk with me - she was so nice. I somehow managed to lose my credit card here and I asked several staff but to no avail, it was lost... only for a fellow skier to find me on social media and tell me he found it at the mountain the next day - skiers/snowboarders are some of the nicest people šŸ‘ŒšŸ» anyways, I will 100% come back in the future and will be watching the snow report this time. Thanks fam for making snow sports worthwhile šŸ¤˜šŸ»

I learned to ski here as an adult and my kids learned as well. We absolutely love skiing at Manning and try to come up once or twice a season. We live in the lower mainland and you are probably asking why we would drive 90 minutes to ski when there are so many other options close by. Well checj out my pictures from our last day trip. We pretty much had the entire mountain to ourselves. The snow was awesome. All the trails were perfectly groomed and there were no lineups for the lifts. I almost hate for the word to get out about how awesome Manning is cause it is really a hidden gem. So get up a little earlier than usual pack the car up and head to Manning Park. It is definitely worth the drive.

If I could I would give 10 stars āļø to the amazing staff from Manning Ski Area! Recently I went skiing with some friends and unfortunately none of the boots fit on me. Even so I was really upset with the fact that I couldn’t ski anymore, every single staff that tried to help me were very kind, polite and helpful. They offered me to change for another activity which was very nice of them! I had a good experience overall with the staff, specially Zoey who gave hot chocolate to make me feel better (not sure if that is her name thou). The resort is not big, but it’s compatible with the prices you pay. You can have easy access to both buildings to the activities area and parking lot without having to walk far. I would recommend Manning Park...
