A year ago I made a reservation and prepaid two nights, as our Good Sam Chapter was meeting there for our August outing. When I arrived on Sunday, August 11, 2019, I found myself not in the group area with the others, but at the end of the line, with other non-affiliated camp sites in-between. There were 5 empty sites in our groups immediate area. Thinking this was just a mistake, I went to the Clubhouse upon arrival to ask if they could change me to be with the group. They absolutely refused, saying that they were full. I explained that they had 5 empty sites in our groups immediate area. I went back again later, and again they stuck to their policy. I tried to explain to them that I was one of the hosts for the 3 night event, and that it was a long walk to haul all the required food and items and certainly not what I had booked. Out of the 5 sites in the immediate area, 4 remained vacant for 2 nights and one was vacant for our entire stay. Nothing would change their minds, despite our Good Sam Chapter having gone to Rondalyn every year for years. ||||On Sunday during the dinner, one of our members had what appeared to be a stroke. We called for an ambulance and sent one of our members to the office for the AED equipment. At one point, a member who is an RN could not find a pulse. Imagine the horror when our member came back to tell us that the office was locked up solid, but that a guest told her that the AED equipment did not have a battery, so was useless. The AED equipment has not had a battery for 2 months. The ambulance arrived and took our member to the hospital, but it was quite a long time in coming. Rondalyn has a pool that is heavily used by children, yet they do not have an AED to protect them. Their office hours are from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. When a business is responsible for so many lives, it is unthinkable to leave it unmanned, especially given the hot tub and pool.||||The property itself is a lovely property, with lots of amenities, however it is sorely lacking in management. It is also quite expensive compared to other properties on the island. Their Wifi is non-existent. Of course, when the top management is uncaring it follows that the rest of the staff will act the same way. What a pity! The staff are experts at losing their company valuable business. They had no concept of what was rented, nor did they bother to go look. That was just one area of the resort, imagine what revenues they lost because they didn't know what...

We had heard wonderful things about Rondalyn. We tried to book in and they were full. I was put on a cancellation list, and a few days before we got a call a spot was available right beside our friends, seemed perfect, until we arrived. We spent two nights, and it was party central. Two sides across from us partied until 2am the first night, and even longer the 2nd even after multiple complaints, and the police coming. Right after the police came, staff went to bed we thought all was good but they started up again. The maintenance man was amazing and sympathtic, sais this was an isolated thing, and that these type of things never happen. These group of people has disprespectfulo kids, that were swearing in the pool, jumping on young children, hitting and fighting with no parents supervision. It was altogether worse that our trips to Renfrew where people go to party. Renfrew was tame compared to out time here!||We left it at that, and added it to our list of places to avoid camping.||A week later we received a calls stating they wanted to offer us another two nights free as they felt so horrible for what happened and wanted us to experience a nice time there. Unfortunately they are pretty booked and we normally book all our trips a year before so we were looking at September, which again between our schedule and their availability it didn't work. I have been emailing and calling back and forth since and they keep saying a manager will call, they never have. I was told their offer of two nights was only valid if we used it before the end of the year. This was never once said, we were just told we want to make it better, we were never told with conditions. I've called multiple times emailed multiple times trying to get an answer to book over the last two months, and have finally given up after today when I was told I don't know why no one hasn't called you. Some people have good experiences here, ours was far from that. It is staying on the DO...

Ok, not even sure where to start. I booked a site, 3 months in advance after researching full service sites on the south end of the island. We asked for a private site and ended up with the exact opposite. We wanted to use our trailer to the full extent and I thought Rondalyn was it, but boy was I wrong. We were put in a round about(T5) sandwiched directly beside 3 neighbors. We were so close that we could hear the one neighbor snor at night, the others flush their toilet and the kids from the 3rd were running under our tent trailer at 9pm at night. There was ZERO privacy. It definitely was not camping, it was staying in our trailer because we felt it was our only private space. Not to mention there was an outdoor kitchen area right outside our trailer that everyone used daily. Was very intrusive. There was 1 (single) hook up for 3 sites to share, both water and power. We were told to bring a long cord, bit now I understand why, it's FAR away. There is a pool, yes, but the washrooms on the pool deck are never cleaned, they smell so bad of urine they are unusable. We were so disappointed that after 2 days, we left. I want my money back, but I knew there was a risk, renting only on other reviews. So we just ate the bill and left.. There were people partying and kids yelling until way past lights out time and no one around to do anything about it. But funny, there is always someone driving around on a golf cart. Hmmmm. Needles to say, it was not the resort we were hoping for. It's for some, but wasn't for us. I just want an honest review here so we can save someone else from the...

We stayed in one of the cozy cabins and had a great experience overall! The cabin was clean and comfortable, and the bathrooms on site were spotless. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the stay even more enjoyable. We loved having access to the pool and the small golf course—great little extras that added to the fun. One of the highlights was definitely the river nearby; it was peaceful and perfect for a quick walk or just relaxing by the water. The only downside was how close the campsites were to each other—it felt quite busy and crowded at times. Also, we were hoping the dog park would be a bit bigger to allow more space for our pup to run around and get some proper exercise. Overall, a lovely spot with great amenities, but would be even better with a bit more space and a larger dog area. If you do visit, be sure to stop in at the Timberland Pub and have a meal—great food and a nice atmosphere!

Stayed at Rondalyn over the long weekend with our kids. We had heard its very family oriented and a nice, quiet place to go. We were trying to avoid loud and parties etc. It seems Rondalyn does not enforce their sound rules as the campground was very loud until about 11/11 30pm on our first night there. There is a stage behind the campsites that I guess is common? area for all to use which turned into a play place for the entire campground, 10' behind our tent where we were trying to put little kids to sleep. Golf is open at 10am yet people were golfing both mornings by 9am. Seems like the resort has all sorts of rules but I guess they aren't enforced? Great place to go party it seems if you dont have little kids to worry about!

Rondalyn was recommended to my family and I by my aunt who lives just near by. My family and I were visiting from Saskatchewan, we stayed here for a week. The site completely exceeded our expectations, the grounds as a whole were spotless, the bathroom and showers were clean and in fantastic working condition, the pool was very enjoyable especially for our two kids, the staff was helpful and friendly, everyone else was respectful and kind and the river behind our site was very nice especially at night as natures sound machine. We would definitely love to visit again when we find our way back to the Island!
