I appreciate the opportunity to share feedback about our recent stay I feel like the surveys aren’t super genuine, since they always say the same thing back to you. As a health-conscious guest, I’d like to offer constructive suggestions for improvement.
Some positives included breathtaking ocean views from most rooms a hot tub nearby, new comfortable beds, and courteous staff. However, there have been consistent disappointments, unlike anywhere else we’ve stayed worldwide. Well, my partner ate the food he still thought it was super poor quality undercooked bacon as you can see in the photo and gross eggs his words he also filled out the survey which he never does. I think that when you pay your Harder money to go somewhere special at Christmas you should kinda expect it to be better than at home at least These include a decline in breakfast quality just Cisco food, cleanliness issues like dirty dishes on arrival and mould, and equipment malfunctions in the new gym, notably missing attachments such as the lap pulldown bar and room changes since door didn’t work twice with keys given
Enhancing breakfast choices with healthy options like eggs, bacon(cooked properly, berries, nuts, and low-carb items would significantly improve guest satisfaction and save money I think some people think that might be healthy, however someone that is say a diabetic, compromised health or health conscious would not, as there was no way to mitigate. I fasted for breakfast instead even though my breakfast was included, thankfully, we did have a kitchenette as we every time have and were able to purchase food at the co-op since it’s not, there’s not food always available so we knew this going in, but we didn’t think the breakfast would be worse. And we bragged about the breakfast to our friends who came to meet us for Christmas their kitchenette was also dirty. They also had to move rooms and they paid for the kitchenette, but yet when they got there, there was no kitchenette. The overall cleanliness, communication discrepancies, and missed promotional offerings from a prior time too were concerning. They listed a promotion on the wall and we stayed between that time, so where is our coupon, making offers like that is just teasing your customer. Notably, Zed Hotel offers impressive breakfast and dinner options such as carnivore and low-carb; we were referred there for Christmas dinner and I’ve never been so happy with a menu I could eat absolutely anything on it extremely healthy they are putting so much effort in.
Small gestures, especially during special occasions like Christmas, can leave a lasting positive impression on guests. Zed Hotel, for instance, provides a thoughtful gift on guests’ doors on Christmas Day.
In our six visits to Tin Wis Best Western Tofino, we’ve noticed both improvements and declines. Consistency in maintaining proper service standards is crucial for a better guest experience. another thing we noted was all their gutters were plugged up so hopefully they take care of that. I can only imagine how difficult it is to get staff. It was just good that they were still kind and friendly so that always makes that better. I suppose this will be our last...
Read moreA nearly perfect little campground located about an hour and a half from both Nanaimo or Tofino, just outside Port Alberni.
Camp site was plenty spacious for our tent and car and then some. Plenty of tree cover and separation between the campsites to maintain shade and privacy.
Being there in June, it was surprisingly nearly entirely big free.
Upper campground has well maintained outhouses with a path to the lower campground which has flush toilets and showers.
Located near flush toilets in lower campground is a nice little beach and day-use area with picnic tables.
Campground has good cell signal strength, which is rare it seems on the island.
Park operators drove around frequently to sell firewood ($8/bundle) and were very approachable. As a reference to size of bundle, we went through about one and a half a night.
Highly recommend this campsite if you're looking to check out the island's top tourist locations and don't mind a...
Read moreMy touristy group of eight (8) adults came to Sproat Lake Park to see the petroglyphs. Carved into a vertical rock face by First Nation peoples long ago, the petroglyphs are just above the water line and visible from a nearby floating deck. It's an easy, short hike on safe, mostly level paths through some woods that run parallel above a shoreline, which borders a HUGE lake. And then a secure ramp lets you walk down to a floating, tethered platform deck, from where you can see and inspect the petroglyphs from a respectful distance. The various carvings look like stylized fish, waves, and other creatures you may have better luck identifying. Then turn around and look at the expansive lake, the occasional boater, and the gorgeous mountains in the distance. What a view - and definitely...
