Old cowboy ranch was a nice camping location. We stayed in site 6 although I recommend booking sites further down the camp. We really enjoyed our stay here. It was nice to go for walks and see horses, peacocks and chickens around the campsite. It was also awesome to have the river backing the campsites (with an option to float down the river for 3hrs+). The only complaints I have is that some of the sites were relatively close, we felt like we were one large site with our neighbouring sites. The other complaint is minor but you have some road noise from the hwy when louder vehicles drive by like motorbikes. And finally the facilities are just out house toilets which were extremely smelly.

A little slice of heaven here in Boundary country, BC. Its idyllic natural setting, heritage character & country-calm vibe are the stuff of dream vacations - esp. with animal-loving kids, who'd delight in the medley of freely-roaming creatures alongside resident rescue horses & mule, a darling donkey & even 2 adorable miniature horses.. And the chickens live the REAL, original meaning of 'free range' (their eggs are sold on-site @ the supply store) Also on-location is a quaint gift shop that stocks all sorts of ranch-related antiques, books, novelty items++ Owner Johni created this amazing place from scratch yrs ago & is a wealth of local lore, as well as a real-estate agent!

Love this place. it is my new favourite get away from the city. Johni is wonderful and very helpful she lives on the ranch. The ranch is Right on the kettle river, gorgeous views and during the summer they offer horseback riding tours. There is a small store on site offering snacks, hygiene items, and ice. The guest cabin is incredibly spacious and fully stocked. Best glamping experience ever.

Where do I start... we had used soap bars and used shampoo in our bathroom. Which goes against COVID and just any cleanliness. We found the medicine cabinet filthy the mattress was well used. Would not clean the cabin the next day as we stayed for two days. We had a burnt out light in the bathroom and a burnt out light for the outside porch which we needed to be able see to do the combination lock to get into our room. ||The next day we left briefly and came back having a sprinkler hitting our entrance to our cabin. We continued to try and get ahold of the proprietor which did not avail a returned call, WE WERE BEING IGNORED!! ||Access road is very poor as our vehicle bottomed out which caused damage to our CAR! Might I add the dishes you could see were just rinsed off and not washed properly!! ||We were not able to write a review on the Riverview cottages as there was no place to write it. ||||We stayed at one on this owners other properties:||1633 High Way 33||Rock...

We absolutely loved our stay at the Old Cowboy Ranch Guesthouse! From the moment we arrived, Johni and her two beautiful dogs, along with the roaming farmyard animals, greeted us so warmly that we felt right at home. The horses, mules, and peacocks wander the property, providing a unique ranch experience and memorable stay.

The guesthouse was spacious with super comfortable beds, a big kitchen, and a wraparound deck overlooking the river. We enjoyed morning coffee out there, watching the animals pass by and taking in the peaceful views. Across the river, we explored the Kettle Valley Trail on foot, and the cool, clean river was perfect for a refreshing dip afterward. The on-site gift shop was a treat too—full of unique finds to bring home.

This place has the perfect mix of comfort, charm, and adventure. We left with full hearts and can’t wait...

I stayed at the cabins 15 minutes away from the ranch.||Cabin number 2 was very spacious and it provided all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. It was very cozy, clean and it provided a wonderful view onto a river.||||I also visited the ranch, and even though there is no horse riding in the winter the owner allowed me to drop by and hang out with the horses on my own accord. ||Johnny is an amazing lady, she took some time out of her day to show me around and gifted me some peacock feathers. Thank you. ||||It was an amazing experience, I'm very grateful that I got to visit the ranch and experience the cabins. I'm looking forward to visit again in the summer and do some writing. ||||Thanks for the hospitality Johnny and The Old...
