We stayed early June. Was a great time as it wasn’t too busy. We stayed in a cabin, which was very lovely. It was so cute. It was the Apex. The included coffee is delish, although if you like something other than coffee mate in your coffee, definitely bring your own to add in. The kitchen is stocked with your essentials, but no hot dog sticks for the fire. You can bring your own or buy from the store there. There’s a little lantern/flashlight for your use. I thought was a nice touch. The living room is stocked with a couple games and some books. It does have a fold out sofa which is extremely uncomfortable. It folds out in a V and the mattress is very thin. The kids (under 10) didn't mind it too much but anyone older would not be able to. Most of the windows have blackout blinds except the top of the vaulted living room one and the one in the bunk room. So if you have kids or are sensitive to the light definitely bring something to cover them or sleep masks. The living room one will shine light right on your face as the sun comes up.

The bunk room is cute but it also houses the door. It has a standard deadbolt but if you have kids that like to explore you may need to keep an eye on it. It would be nice to see it have a kid proof latch on it somewhere so the kids can’t open it.

The bedroom has a kind size bed which was decent. Mattress was a bit bumpy and on the firm size but didn’t completely wreck your sleep. There is no place to house your clothing as there’s no closets or dressers. The night tables in the bedroom could be switched out for ones with drawers so you have someplace to store your stuff.

Firewood is not included. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The pools were great and the kids spent lots of time in there. There are a couple basic playgrounds around the resort. Enough for the kids to enjoy.

The resort is sandwiched between hwy 1 and the railroad. If you are looking for quiet and peaceful this might not be the place for you. You can hear noise most time but I wouldn’t say it was overwhelming. It didn’t really bug me and I didn’t notice it at night. If you are a light sleeper you may also want to bring ear plugs.

Our cabin sleeps 6 and there was 6 of us there. There are only 4 chairs around the fire so that was a bit of a...

Unfortunately had a very poor experience with customer service here. My husband and I were looking forward to staying for a weekend, but had to cancel. I tried to change my reservation on their website 4-5 days prior. I rescheduled our trip for a few months from now so we could go during my birthday instead. The reservation change didn't update on their end, even though I had received a "modification" email, and I received an angry phone call late Friday night asking where we were from a staff member. I explained my end that we weren't coming up that weekend anymore and were sick, and was spoken to like I was an idiot. I went through several staff over the next few days to try and work something out. A manager/owner etc called me several days later to be told the only option was that they were charging me for the whole weekend we didn't attend ($460+) as we were in the wrong for not changing our reservation correctly. Although I feel bad for the mixup, I really thought I did change my reservation on their website as I also received a "modification" change email. I was told this e-mail wasn't a real modification and that I hadn't changed my February reservation, only booked an entirely new weekend in the future. I was hoping they would be somewhat flexible or understand as it was an honest mistake, and I had rebooked for us to go and was hoping to invite all my friends and make a big weekend of it- but I have now cancelled the rescheduled weekend in the future as well. It's really frustrating to be spoken to like I am stupid and not have any flexibility or understanding on their part. I was told this "doesn't ever happen" and talked to like I must be dumb and it was user error. Anyways, was looking forward to checking this place out but will be...

Our first time here and to be honest we were shocked at first on how un private the camping sites are compared to other places we camp. The sites for tents are small and very little privacy between them or infront. We had 144 and our tent was four feet from the next sites tent with no trees or shrubs to block them. Most were the same in that loop but some back onto the creek which sounds nice and I’d try that next time. The creek itself is not able to be accessed from the camp site and yu must drive several km down the road to reach the access point which we didn’t realise. Thats the negatives for us and just being honest. However once you get used to the lack of privacy on the tent sites the vibe is nice and the camp site cosy. The ruins are cool and the train noise or highway didn’t bother us like it seems to do other reviewers.Infact I liked hearing the trains and seeing them. The hot pools are spotless and enjoyable which is the main draw of course but could use more loungers maybe and the waterfall and suspension bridges is beautiful and definitely worth seeing for sure and a beautiful short hike through the forest. Stunning. We enjoyed the pools and the setting is very pretty in the mountains. Staff in the office store were great and friendly too. We would probably return again next day and take two vehicles so we could explore the area and not be just at the site. Unfortunately heavy rain meant we had leave a day sooner than we wanted :-( There are beautiful wildflowers and berries everywhere and singing entertainment on the weekends which is a nice touch. I think we need to return and embrace the things we compared privacy wise to other parks that’s our only negative is the privacy between...

We had a great visit Aug 2025 for 5 nights at the forested full hookup campsites. Our campsite was well configured for a trailer plus tent and picnic table screen. While the fire pits can’t be moved it was nice to be able to move the picnic table to where it worked best for us. We ventured down to the two beach accesses at the creek and river a number of days. (It’s a long walk but is easily biked to or you can drive and park) The kids loved finding frogs and minnows along the creek edges. They enjoyed swimming with the current where the creek meets the river. The creek was cool but the river was the perfect temp for a summer swim. Next time we would bring some blow up tubes to enjoy it even more. The camp host Rick was great! Regularly available for questions and laughs! It was nice to see him around and connecting with guests. He was one of the best hosts we have experienced in our camping adventures. While you do get a discounted rate as a camper, the hot pools are an extra cost. The kids wanted to go multiple times a day, so at the end, the cost really didn’t matter for all the fun we had. We didn’t go to the suspension bridge because of the cost, it would have been nice if this could have been a more minimal fee for campers that already paid extra for hot pools… We loved the dog park, it was a great size for our bigger dogs. The only suggestion would be to add a bench inside along the fence for guests to enjoy a morning coffee;) The pump track was loved by the kids! Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would consider heading back.
