My family and I stayed in the 2 story cabin here. When we made the reservation it stated our cabin had a/c which it did not. We arrived after a long 12 hour hot drive only to arrive to a scorching HOT cabin. I had spoken to her earlier so she knew we were on our way. The manager did state that there were fans and it was hot. It would’ve been nice for her to open the windows and get the air circulating before we arrived. We couldn’t breathe. I did request another fan and ended up taking a construction fan. There was no tv. Now normally we don’t care but we had 3 grandkids with us who were on their first trip away. The couch was patio furniture. No proper place to sit and just chill. Zero privacy at all inside and out!!! The blinds are see thru so every night I’d have to get dressed just to go to the bathroom downstairs as you could see through the whole place. The blinds were also complete trash. The GARBAGE… don’t even get me started about ALL the garbage outside of our cabin. ABSOLUTELY NOT SAFE FOR CHILDREN. Also smelly dumpsters right outside our cabin and all the campsite recycling. The play structure is probably 40 years old, dilapidated and falling apart. On our cabin there was a garage built on to which workers would come and go from in the morning. I will never go back there. The price is ridiculous for the property, although we did love the frozen yougurt. Manager was good and did the best she could but this place is horrible.

If I could give 0 stars I would for this place. I’m not even sure where to begin. First off they lied in the photos. The RV we had does NOT look like that. The second we entered the RV, there was a horrible smell. There was a hole in our floor, we had to be careful on where we should step. Why would you rent out a place when there are issues. The staff told us where not to step. The carpets were all dirty and it was wet because there was leak. We told the staff but it wasn’t fixed we had a wet and dirty carpet our entire stay. The exhaust for the stove wasn’t even working. My daughter went to sleep on one of the bunks and she found dead skin on the blankets, the bed itself was literally a wooden plank. They told us we only have 5 minutes for a hot shower. How does one feel clean with only 5 minutes in the forest??? They also charge you 20 dollars to use a towel. We didn’t even touch those cause they looked disgusting. The some lights wasn’t even fully working. We decided to take a look at the communal kitchens and bathrooms and it was completely filthy. Trash was everywhere and the sink was even worse. We took a look at the showers and there was dirt and hair all over. The communal fridge was broken as well. There was construction everywhere. If you value sleep, showers or cell service…steer clear. For $356 it was NOT worth it.

The managers were great, and because there are permanent residents who bought rv lots there's a great welcoming community here. Bathrooms were great, hot water for showers and frozen yogurt with lots of toppings to end off a hot day. There is a large tent site with a pond and waterfall creek, get that one if you can. The tent sites are first come first serve. The wood is a bit expensive at $25 a small bundle. 1 bundle might last you 1 fire... maybe 1 and a quarter. But we found enough wood around our site that we were fine. The pond site is VERY close to the highway (you can't see it cause it drops down significantly on the side its on) but do bring ear buds or ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. As a side note, I did notice a lot of the rv spots were VERY close to each other and I can't speak on what the other tent sites are like as ours was more secluded) But if you like to be more secluded, this might not be a long term site for you. The cabins looked nice from the outside

When we arrived and went to check in for our 6 person cabin at an advertised cost of $65.95 (as per their website and phone call back in April) the kind lady really helped us by adding a per person fee also of around $4 per person per night...Mmmm... so I kept quiet after all we and she knew we couldn't find anywhere else at this point. But hey she said we could have complimentary coffee in the morning...yay complimentary coffee...wait a minute I just paid an extra $4 per person per night! Then to keep us in the real camping feel she asked 'can you bring your own cup?' Wait a minute... I don't have cups! Hence the cabin rental, no coffee for me...or I might just take one of the paper cups they had hidden...hehe. Then we were told about the ice cream and the incentive to buy. We got a dollar coupon to spend between the family! Yeah! So we went to get our ice cream after going to the cabin. Climbing the stairs and entering the FroYo bar my kids eyes lit up and so did my bank managers, it was roughly 65cents an ounce. But hey we had a dollar to spend, a lick of the spoon each :) yeah! So the next morning after dreaming about our FroYo I went to get my...ahem..complimentary coffee in a nice cup...but wait...I'm no coffee connoisseur but it was watered down so much I though satan had come during the night and peed in the coffee urn... ah well I thought I'll go get showered and ready for the day... before I went to relieve myself of my own coffee brew and found the urinal behind...wait for it... a curtain... good thing I'm not self conscious...lol. Then to the shower, yes we had one shower for all of the great campers to share...so line up time...

Ah well, at least I was here with friends, well at least some... you see friends in the other cabin also paid a $4 per person per day fee that's not found on their website...but hey they got a gift..sucks for us I know. They were making a bed and they found a nice long brown surprise...you see after satan left the coffee for me he left a number two under one of their mattresses...lol. So they went down to talk to the good old hostess again and also asked for a splash of milk from the opened milk in the fridge for their complimentary tea (they brought their own cup), of course she said 'it'll be $3.50 for the milk' bahahaha... so they didn't mention the brown surprise and so it remains...fermenting....

Then our other friends arrived but they couldn't stay because our good hostess had rented their prebooked cabin to someone else...lol

All in all, if you really desire a campground with septic tanks covered with rotting plywood, a kids park on the road with cars, surprise costs etc and absolutely terrible and lacking amenities then this is the camp ground for you :) just make sure you have all your shots, life insurance...

This is not a resort but it is a wonderful campsite, with basic cabins and an RV park. I spent 6 very happy days here.

Compared to the better public campsites this place has got it all for a super reasonable price, nice warm, clean washrooms with power flush toilets, showers (foot towels provided). It also has a well stocked basic supply shop. In addition to this a public eating area with everything you need to cook, gas bbq, pressure cookers, microwave and I saw a smoker. Tea and coffe provided as well as cooking and eating utensils.

The cabins have three large 3/4 bunks and for under $30 you can get bedding, there is a coin operated laundrette, one extra person stays free and it’s a ridiculously small fee for anybody extra. The cabins also have a microwave and a portable wood grill you can cook on.

This place has soul and it comes down from the top. The second night there I lost my hearing aid, around $3000 at about 10pm . The owner aka Noah saw me wondering around and then good heart wandering around very distressed he then spend the next hour and a half looking for them with me, in the light rain and found them for me. I was blown away by this.

So I rented a cabin for $60 a day with all those facilities, it was huge value tor money. I also forgot to mention Noah enforces a strict quiet time from 11pm, there were no wild parties etc just peace and quiet.

Here are a few things to consider:

If you are thinking resort you will be disappointed but it’s a great campsite. I did a motorcycle trip here and there are some truck drivers who are bullies on this road, I hope some unspeakable things happen to them. The campsite is around 25km out of town, so arrive with supplies for your first night, just in case you arrive arrive late. Yes you will hear some traffic from the road but I slept better here than in other places far from roads because of the zero tolerance for...

Let's get to the best part. The staff. The ladies that helped us were awesome from start to finish. Now the not so good to bad part. We travel so much through Canada and the USA, well not the USA this year because of cheese head trump. Anyway, we get that there are good places and places that need some TLC. We travel as a need just to put our head down to rest up for the next days adventure. Everything about this place had beed Staged from pictures from the past. It's at residential campsite with bags of bottles and garbage everywhere. Fire Pits of those cabins that were shown in photos are filled with trash. The cabins in on the website are No where near to that standards as presented in the photos. Broken down trucks, trailers and heavy equipment are everywhere. Rental trailers are set up in a way that it's mind boggling as to if it is level. Campsite bathrooms and laundry are some Of the most disgusting I have ever seen, and I have been across Canada and the USA twice. The place we rented was the ark. It's in the top floor of this make shift boat. This thing moved all night long and we wondered if we were going to fall apart. Our room was so bad and it felt like The permanent resident that used to live here just moved out 30 seconds before we moved in. There were no blinds on the kitchen window, the blinds on the door did not Work and we had people(residence) walking by during our stay. The two sofas were massively stained along With the dining table with sticky stuff. The dining chairs were also stained to the point that we put towels down to sit. I'm not going to get into the shower and bedroom But let's put it this was, we left there feeling dirty and unclean. I'm sorry I had to write this review but it holds true. We also feel that the positive reviews on this site are bogus and ment to attract. Your...
