Read moreI usually stay at the Garden hotel which is by my work when in Gibson. I will ask my travel desk to book here. This B&B is about a 5 minute drive to upper Gibson. It is down by the water and the back yard has a view thru the trees of Georgia straight.||The back yard is really nice with huge old fir trees standing 100 feet high and there is a cute little swimming pool and hot tub and outdoor patio furniture. The house has separate entrances for the rooms so you don't have to walk thru the house to get to your room. My room was quite spacious like a hotel room with it's own bathroom, bar and fridge, and decent size T.V. This place is better than the Garden hotel for QUIET. It is extremely quiet and I didn't hear anybody making any noise in the three nights stay. The beds were superior to many hotels I have stayed at. The breakfast part of the B&B might be a little short if you like big breakfasts. There were two very good muffins and some fruit each day. No protein. This however does not bother me as I am always on an expense account anyway and I usually eat at the Black Fish. It might bother people who expect a good breakfast or need protein right away when they get up.||One thing I noticed and recommend is this the huge fir trees are all over the property and you will park under them. My car is newer and has immaculate paint. I noticed that Pitch or Sap comes off the fir trees and I noticed this first day on my wind shield, hood, and top of the car. It is really sticky stuff and will not come off with any cloth or paper towel. You just can't get this stuff off your car without buying some car cleaner. I got some "bug tar and sap" removal Armor All tissues and spend 10 minutes each day removing spots of the sap from the car. That might be an issue for a car show guy. Because the place is so nice and clean and well kept and quiet it didn't bother me to...
Don't want to make this sound too negative as the Caprice has a lot of positive aspects.||We stayed in room 27 which is on the lower floor. A very spacious room, almost a suite really. A great room for someone of limited mobility like my wife as it was walk in from the parking spot and no stairs. The grounds of the B&B are lovely and even though the weather wasn't great, I did get to use the pool and the hot tub.The biggest disappointment was the lack of what we would term a proper breakfast. A basket of fruit and some homemade muffins were OK for two days but I certainly could not take that for a week. We stayed at other places on the Sunshine Coast and for a similar nightly rate, got a full cooked breakfast. I don't think we would have stayed here if we were informed about the breakfast before booking.||Having breakfast with other guests and the proprietors was a good way to start the day in other B&B's that we stayed at. I think we know the reason why there is no cooked breakfast and understand that. It would have been nice to...
Read moreHad a wonderful time in this quiet home in the woods. Parking was directly in front of the room, making it very easy to access. No stairs, covered space for bbq, hot tub and pool, and a big yard all made for a fantastic start to our road trip holiday.
Due to pandemic, B&B's seem to only offer Bed, but we at least welcomed with a basket of fruit and fresh baked muffins. The room had a small kitchenette with a decent sized fridge, a kurig coffee maker a toaster, and ample tableware. We had multiple meals in our room during our stay.
The tv offers thousands of on demand movies and shows. Wifi was a bit inconsistent, but was fast enough.
Bed was very comfortable and the room was big enough to move around without bumping into each other.
Waking up to deer in the yard and the sun shining over the Pacific was a great experience. Overall I would return to this property again in the future and recommend it...
