Amazing 1 week stay! Our first camping trip (as adults lol). Decent privacy between sites, right across the road from the beach, many pit toilets, water taps and garbage/recycling cans so its never far from any sites, OK shower facilities, they could use better shower heads that spray farther from the wall and since its a push button you don't have control of the temperature (sometimes it was almost scalding which doesn't help the sunburn lol) but as complaints go, thats a MINOR inconvenience! All the services (showers, toilets, campsites etc) were cleaned and stocked daily! All the staff we interacted with were very friendly and helpful, so much so, I wanted to leave a thank you note on our picnic table to let them know they were appreciated! As a first timer, I will let all of you know, when you arrive, there is no "check in" go to your booked site and eventually when the attendants do their rounds, they will check you in. There is a list on the first bulletin board near the gates that show the days check ins. 100% will camp...

Love this park. Beautiful tall Ponderosa Pine trees throughout the campground. Excellent free showers. Large sites with a heavy duty picnic table and nice firepit with a cooking grate. Lots of room between sites. They are quite open though. Weather is always quite hot. Gets cool at night though so it's good for sleeping. Going to be 32°C tomorrow. Small, but nice lake for swimming, paddleboards, canoeing and water skiing. The convenience store has everything you could ever want or need. Generators are only allowed between 9:00 - 11:00am and 6:00 - 8:00pm. No electricity. Drinking water is at the dump site about 1km from the camp sites. 8km paved bike path all the way around the lake. Very...

This is an excellent campground! Do note that there are no hookups but there is a sani dump 1.5km away. There is a single shower facility for the entire campground but there are numerous bathrooms and glamorous outhouses with flushing toilets. There are trails to walk and run and there is a bike park which is super fun for the kids! The lake has itch warnings all over the place and all that is really needed is an outdoor shower at the beach. We didn't go in the water at the beach so I can't comment on the itch. We will come back to this lake and campground.

The camp site are nicely spaced apart...

First time camping in BC! We went during the heat warning period, there was wild fire around us but we still had great time. Lake was at good walking distance (we were at site 63). Shower - water is heated by solar power so I think that's why some people might comment it's cold? But it's free shower y'all. Beautiful place. I heard it's a lake where there's no in source so have to be careful of swimmers itch but campguard said as long as you clean up after you are good which we did and had no problems.

Beautiful, well kept, quiet and family friendly! One of my favourite places to camp in the Kootenay's and the addition of a shower house a couple years ago is definitely an added bonus. Just across the street from the beach with a playground and public washrooms. Only reason I'd give a 4 star instead of 5, is having an experience with a park person who's 'strictness' for the rules bordered on mean/rude. But, all around, the staff is friendly and fair...definitely recommend!
