White Swan is my Absolute Favourite place to go in the world!!! We have been camping at White Swan for 6 years now. We have stayed at a couple of the different places to camp and you will not be disappointed regardless of where you choose to stay. The drive down the logging road is a bit sketchy, however, we have a 21 foot trailer and have seen people with much larger trailers down the road and have never seen any problem. Even when logging trucks come by, the turnouts are large enough to feel safe getting out of their way.
There is no electricity so a generator helps. They have a water pump to use although I believe you have to boil the water from it if you're planning on drinking it. We typically stayed at Alces Lake, however, last year went to Pack Rack and were very happy to be beside the dock with our two kayaks for easy access. Read more55/5 I simply can't give enough stars for this monumental and out-of-this-world camping site. This lake - Alces - has a magic to it that you can really only experience by visiting it. The stillness of the area has a charm unlike any other I have been to. The lake adjacent [and just up the road] to this one is Whiteswan Lake. Another beauty. Alces campground will not let you down I guarantee you. There is a beautifully constructed dock, open to wide open views of the mountain magic ahead of your sight. There is a very nice walking path that straddles the lake and can walk the perimeter in about an hour. The surrounding areas to the campsite also offer much in terms of friendly neighbours - the wildlife. This campground is also very child-friendly! Welcome to a good time and the entry to the majesty of the Whiteswan area! Nicework Nature...

Truly spectacular vistas everywhere with plenty of great campsites. The access road in is a wide active logging road that was in good shape with minimal potholes and relatively flat grades throughout. The lakes were glassy and a variety of colours depending on where on the lake you were and where the sun was. I was alone at my campground for the night, and woke up under over 6 inches of fresh powder - I’d recommend having snow tires on the car if coming up this way in...
