This our favourite place to stay when in Terrace. Unfortunately, after being around for a few years, it feels like it’s running into maintenance issues that aren’t being addressed. In our room (211), the desk lamp did not work (I had work to do so this was a disappointment), the fridge did not get cold, and the phone did not work. At no point could we get a dial tone.
We found things sitting on top of the bed frame so it clearly had not been wiped down in a while. The last two times we were here, the shower at the pool was broken and was not fixed despite making staff aware. This time, due to covid, it was not open at all (though we don’t blame them for that.....but it’s an amenity that helped to offset the other disappointments. Without it, the hotel felt a bit lacking.
If u have kids, I do recommend booking the suite, it was really nice to have the extra bit of space and a couch to sit on, especially since we spent so much time in our rooms due to covid. It’s too bad the tv’s aren’t smart TVs, - next time will bring a fire stick or HDMI cable so we can watch family movies.
The breakfast station had an attendant that grabs u food and while she was very pleasant, and friendly, the variety was lacking. They offer bacon and egg breakfast sandwiches which on the surface, sound fantastic, but the experience itself was less than appetizing. It had a thick layer of mayo and bread and butter pickles in it....one bite was all I needed. I’m generally not a picky eater but it was, without hesitation, the grossest one I’ve ever had.
2-3 years ago, everything on the list above would have had 5 stars. All I can say is that customers notice the little things, and enough little things will eventually lead to people going elsewhere. I still enjoy staying here for the most part but please continue to work on ensuring things are in proper working order and that broken items are fixed in a timely manner. And please....skip the mayo and pickles on the breakfast sandwiches (beyond...

The included buffet breakfast is huge and amazing for a hotel and offers a lot of variety of healthy options. It is open from 6 or 6:30am to 10am so we could sleep in a little on one of the days. The hotel doesn’t skimp on any of the food or condiments it was continuously replenished and tasted great! I would stay here again just for this because it saved us from having to go out to eat or bring our own breakfast in. It was quiet during our stay inside and we had a great sleep. The heat worked great and the room was very clean. Housekeeping was very good as well. Staff are pleasant.
The only thing I would change is that there is no option for movies on the TV nor are the televisions smart TVs so we couldn’t watch Netflix or anything on the nice big screen. There is cable however and were quite a few channels to chose from...but it would have been nice to have a movie to watch.
Also I couldn’t find the hairdryer which is common in most hotels...you will have to bring your own to this hotel in Terrace it didn’t appear there was one available at this location.
The breakfast room is spacious and there is coffee, tea and hot chocolate available around the clock. I liked the little indoor heated pool. I wished there was a hot tub or even a sauna to warm up in after and a change room connected to the pool - we had to walk outside of the pool to get to the bathroom to change and it was very cold and snowing outside. But it’s still very nice to have a pool at the hotel and my son was very happy with this.
There were a lot of USB ports as well in the room which helps. The design is beautiful inside the rooms.
Overall I would recommend this beautiful and clean hotel to anyone wanting to stay in the Terrace area. It’s close to the airport and not far from downtown. You will have a good sleep here and be well fed in...

Chose one king-size room. Arrived at 8:40 PM and told no king-size rooms available. I commented the parking lot was pretty empty and the staff member replied it's not that they are busy, but they don't have the staff to clean all the rooms so the king bed rooms are empty and not yet cleaned (at 8:40 PM). Was given a room with 2 queen size beds.
USB plug by desk installed off-kilter and is not usable.
Very cold room. The air conditioning unit lets the cold air whistle in and you cannot close it off. Had to leave the fan on to keep the room from freezing. But, to get warm air you have to turn the heat on to about 24 degrees. The fan is loud and the room gets too hot so it was an extremely uncomfortable stay.. And when I say the wind whistles in I mean it is LOUD. It sounds like a window left a 1/2" open with the wind howling. I even recorded the sound on my phone.
No rom service - room was not cleaned. Arrived back at 9:00 PM the second night and the room had not been cleaned. Too tired to pack up belongings so got fresh towels from front desk.
Breakfast is good. Fitness room is good. Hotel is beautiful. But I'd rather stay at a older hotel that is...
