My wife and I had our wedding here. If you're considering having your special day here - in short: do it. The folks at Nipika really know what they're doing.

The planning phase: Marni and Bev were extremely helpful, from managing the cabin payments to suggestions on where to host the various parts of the day.

The food: Options were delicious. A couple of our friends are vegan, two are celiacs. The staff were very accomadating, and the food we had in the end was amazing (prime rib with yorkshire puddings: delicious). Ann, the caterer, did a great job.

The cabins: They're awesome. Beautiful and rustic, yet with all the modern amenities you'd expect. Everything is clean and well maintained. A few of them have large decks, perfect for having little mini-gatherings throughout the weekend.

The barn (for speeches, dinner and dancing): Just great. Two floors, just enough space. I think we had 70 people or so, and we squeezed in. After dinner we just moved the tables aside and had plenty of space. They have a projector if you want to put anything up, and a nice sound system. We had a DJ, and there was space for him to set up as well.

And a few random notes: Marni is the best. She drove us all over the place with our photographer to get some truly amazing photos. Seriously, the photo tour was priceless. The grounds are beautiful. If you're a city-dweller like us, it was such a lovely change of pace to have those beautiful mountain views. My family really enjoyed it as well. It rained (Heavily!) during our ceremony, outside. We were initially panicking but Marni and the rest handled it like pros, wiping down the benches and handing out umbrellas. They even had a cart to give rides to the grandparents. It ended up being a great time. We were going to have a toast outside afterwards, but we just moved it to the barn instead. They transported the champagne and glasses so quickly no one even realized the plan had changed! They have so many awesome lawn games to play. I only wish we had more spare time to enjoy them! Everyone had something fun to do, all the time. They were super accommodating. We got a keg and big batch of donuts from inveremere, and they offered to drive them in the day of for us! They recommended putting down some small lights to mark the path between barn and cabins. We did it, and it was definitely worthwhile - it gets dark!

I'd give them 6/5 if I could. Worth every penny. My only regret is we couldn't...

We stayed at the Cross River Cabin at Nipika for a long-weekend as part of a bike/gravel race at the resort. We had an AMAZING time. I was there with my two kids (12 and 14) and my parents (grandparents) and everyone was extremely comfortable, there was everything we needed at the cabin in regards to kitchenware (no toaster) and lots of space for everyone to sleep. The beds are extremely comfortable. There was so much to do on the resort for the kids being older they had lots of fun at the swimming pond, we used the sauna, we went for a great hike and bike ride right from the resort. As a family, we all had an amazing time and really enjoyed everything that was at the resort. We took lots of layers to wear and I definitely recommend using the big plastic bin to put all your dry food goods in (and extra toilet paper) to avoid a mouse being in your cabin. I think this would be an amazing resort to have a large family gathering with numerous ages of kids, it would be amazing to have a wellness retreat or a wedding there. There is just so much to do an no need to leave the resort whatsoever. We had a great little day-trip into Radium Hot Springs to soak but other than that we stayed there and enjoyed our nervous system reset. ...

Our stay at Nipika Mountain Resort was that of pure bliss. So much so, we tried to stay again for the last leg of our trip instead of camping as intended. Not surprisingly, everything was already booked 🙃 At Nipika, you can expect to feel like you’ve been transported back in time but comfortably. From the long gravel road to get there (complete with a brown bear munching on shrubs) to the spotty Wifi, to the picturesque mountain views. Things feel free and simple. Like a long and much needed exhale. Some of our favorite things to do during our stay was exploring the many singletrack trails on our mountain bikes. Constantly stopping marvel at our surroundings. Spending time heating up in the sauna before jumping from the floating dock into the (polar) pond. Curling up in front of the wood burning stove while reading. And playing games at the kitchen table while cracking the Dutch Door to let the fresh air in. Our two-night stay felt drastically short, but I know I will be back again one day 💙 Nipika is a gem nestled away from everyday life, I’d be shocked if it doesn't imprint on your heart as well.

I usually come here for xc skiing around Xmas and the trail conditions are hit or miss. Last year, the snow was perfect but due to illnesses with staff, not all the trails could be groomed and trackset. This year, the lack of snow was a factor with challenging conditions which made the skiing a lot more technical but they were groomed and trackset. The staff has always been friendly and accommodating which always supercede my expectations. Once we were late coming back to the car and where we had stored our stuff was inside the rental place. We thought we couldn't get our stuff but the staff had graciously left the door unlocked and we were able to retrieve everything. We were planning on skiing early the next morning and were advised that we could pay whenever we got back. We love that we are treated with trust and respect by the staff and I will keep coming back.

It was our first visit to this resort and we had an absolute blast! We did not stay in the rooms so no rating for accommodations. The drive in is a gravel road and we met a few logging trucks on the way. The turnoff from the highway is not well marked so be sure to have your navigation started before travelling through the zone without cellular service. The trails were immaculately maintained and the lady at the front desk was very helpful in getting us in gear and on the trail. The trails and the views were beautiful, we went all the way to the natural bridge. I did find that the trails were not well marked so being newbies, it took some time to figure out where we were going and I would recommend to take a photo of the map before heading out. The people we met on the trails were very friendly which added to an overall positive experience. We will be back!
