Terracana Ranch Resort is absolutely gorgeous. The cabins are beautiful and rustic, very soundproof and warm (in fall, anyway - can't speak to winter warmth). They have fully stocked kitchens - everything from dishes to pots and pans, an electric stovetop, even wine glasses - which was amazing, along with a mini-fridge and a microwave. The bathroom was very large, and there was a closet with extra pillows, an extra blanket, a flashlight and lantern, and even a couple of board games! There is also a barbeque on the little patio for each cabin so you have lots of ways to cook food. We honestly had more fun cooking for ourselves in the cabin than going for dinner in Valemount or Jasper!||||The breakfast is pretty basic - mostly just carb staples like cereal, oatmeal, cookies (the PB cookies are so good though). Yogurt and boiled eggs in the fridge, and your standard drinks like coffee, tea, etc. There is also a game room in the main lodge but we didn't have enough time to go in there on this visit so I can't comment on it.||||The view from the cabins is incredible - we were in one about halfway up the very steep hill and the view was just green hills, trees, and the Fraser River in the distance. It was so peaceful. Terracana is also very close to Mt Robson (maybe 20-25 minutes drive), and the view on the drive towards the mountain is absolutely magnificent, the mountain looms over the horizon and took our breath away on a clear day.||||My only complaint is the beds - they were rock hard and extremely uncomfortable. Did not get a good sleep on them at all despite being exhausted after travelling very far on the way and being outside all day the second day. It was a real shame because everything else was as close to perfect as I've experienced in a hotel or cabin, to have the beds suck this bad was disappointing.||||Also, be prepared for nighttime - especially if you're arriving after dark - it is VERY dark, so make sure you bring flashlights. We arrived after dark and didn't realize how pitch black it would be and only had the lights form our cell phones to guide is from the cabin parking to bring our stuff into the cabins.||||Overall though, we had an amazing time and highly recommend it (though maybe bring a mattress topper or something for the beds). We will definitely be back again and enjoyed our stay...

I want to give thanks to the guy who worked at the main desk on Thanksgiving Day weekend. Didn't get his name but said he was from Calgary like myself.||I've gone to the Robson Valley over a dozen times in the past decade and kept hearing and seeing advertisements about the Terracana Ranch Resort. Even keep driving by it when I've stayed in McBride and see a big sign outside Valemount. Said to myself one of these times I'll check it out as I thought there was a museum as I thought the sign saying Artisan meant that.||As I came upon the site on Thanksgiving Day and went inside the main lobby. I was greeted and probably gave him something to do as there was no reservations when I came. I came just to check it out and thought there was a museum as well which there wasn't. However I was gladly given a tour of the main building from the dining hall, looking at the Fraser River views and the older style games room in the basement. Also appreciated all the older artificats that I took pictures of. Being from Calgary and it's known for its western heritage and hospitality. The ranch building felt like the old west and home. Of course we talked about the cabins and shared stories in the Robson Valley. Did mention it's busier in the winter for snowmobilers so autumn was a slower time of year after the summer. It was a great visit without staying overnight and kinda got what I was seeking in an unexpected way as I thought there was a museum.||Would consider booking a stay if budget allows one year I visit the Robson Valley but I want management to give thanks for the tour. Was a nice surprise visit and the views are great...

We were on the road with the truck and camper.and we saw this place along the highway we decided to pull in. It was in the early evening already . We saw someone sitting at their trailer. So we asked how we register. He said pick a spot. The tv portion is still under construction so if you like it pay at the office I'm the morning if you didn't like it just leave. Lol so we chose a spot and got set up then one of the owners came out and was super friendly they told us the same thing. We decided to take a stroll on the property it was huge!!! And amazing they have a beautiful set up. Lots of area to explore right to the river. There are fire pits around and a teepee to have a fire in of you like. They even have an entertainment room and a games room open 24hrs with free wifi. And hundreds of movies to watch. There are cabins and a restaurant and and outdoor eating area. We did not see it in action but it all was done up amazing!!! I would definitely recommend this place. There are no trees in the tv section yet but they are working on that .. I know that this will be an amazing place once the RV section is completed. Either way I would stay again for sure. It would be a great place for...

Amazing location. I booked 2 cabins for a family getaway. Peaceful and beautiful,. Cabins are rustic and very clean,. We didn't have cell service which was no big deal for us, but they do have great wifi. , satellite TV, everything you need to cook with, plus continental breakfast, , every cabin has great views and parking next to each one. Huge garden with big trees, well maintained. river front property, games in cabin and games in garden, corn hole, soccer, volleyball, horse shoes, you won't be stressed when you arrive here. Just remember to bring snacks and food, closest store is approx 30mins away.. This is a resort in the wilderness, thick forest and rivers, you will see wildlife of all sizes here, bring your misquote repellent, be wildlife aware and enjoy your stay.. I know i will be back again, can't wait...

We had an absolutely amazing stay! A little piece of heaven! We brought our dog and were made feel so welcome and accommodated beyond our expectations. The ranch has amazing views! Josh went above and beyond for us and made our stay so special! Thank you!!! He recommended local places to visit and they did not disappoint! Such a genuine, kind and positive guy! An absolute asset! We were the only ones staying and it was exactly what we needed away from the hustle and bustle of city life. I'd have happily stayed forever. It's worth the drive from Jasper to see the authentic towns and villages near by away from the touristy areas. You don't even need to leave the property to have an amazing experience!

The place is beautiful and peaceful, far from all of the city noises . Cabins and everything inside them are very old but clean. They have very well maintained sports and gaming area, live performance stage and ... really there are alot to do there. It’s 25-30 min to Valemount and the same distance to mt. Robson. The only reason I am not giving 4 to this place is that there is no internet or cell service in cabins and you just can get them in main office although I know a lot of people want to unplug and like this feature , not me.
