Beautiful views of mountains no matter which direction you look. Buried in the trees, just outside the town of Valemount, with the trees providing a barrier to the noise of the trains, and traffic on the Highway. A most welcoming sight when you drive into the clearing and see five beautiful log cabins, the office, and beyond that, the lodge. Donna Hamilton (and sometimes Sandy) is here to welcome you, along with her three "guard dogs" (well, at least, they're noisy!). Each cabin is fully equipped with stove, fridge, microwave, electric baseboard heat, and for "ambience", a propane fireplace. Full bathroom with tub and shower, and one separate bedroom. Star Choice Satellite TV, and wireless Internet make you as close to, or as far away as you want to get to civilization --- your choice. We have made it our yearly "retreat" for six of the last 8 years now, coming down from Dawson Creek, and will continue to do so for as long as I'm able to drive! Thank you, Sandy and Donna, for another...

A fantastic location several kilometers outside of Valemount. The resort has 5, 1 bedroom cabins, as well as a full house with billiard table. Each small cabin comes with a living room with satellite television, gas fireplace, full bathroom, and kitchen (small fridge and no oven - there is a communal freezer). The deck is covered, has an eating area, BBQ, hummingbird feeder for your enjoyment, and there is a fire pit and seating adjacent to the cabin. The view of the surrounding mountains can't be found at any other resort.

There are wild blueberries along the property line and on a clear night, a view of the stars rivals any dark night preserve.

The owners are friendly, welcoming and very knowledgeable about the area. Prices are reasonable and not over-inflated like so many other businesses these days. I highly recommend this...

Unfortunately there was a big mix up regarding our booking, which resulted in us only staying one night instead of the four nights we had paid for in advance. We had originally booked through booking dot com, and cancelled and rebooked and paid direct in full 2 months ago. There were no cabins left when we arrived, and the owner put us in what I can only describe as an unfinished shed conversion. The owner offered us a refund of the remaining nights if we found somewhere else to stay. I’m pleased to say we did find somewhere else, but was not easy and we ended up having to pay more than what we budgeted for. Due to what happened I would not be able to...

Fantastic setup with 5 cabins and one large group chalet. Thoroughly enjoyed our quiet family time away during Covid with a reservation made months earlier. Well appointed cabin, fantastic sleep on great beds with hot showers. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Easy location, minutes from town for those that want to explore and don't want to cook. We did a combination of both. Picturesque setting nestled in the mountains. We will be back.

If you've ever wanted to get away from it all.... And yet have the comforts.... This is the place! Cook-stove/kitchen/dishes included. An additional stove in living room is a real nice touch....and practical on a cool evening. Very quiet!!! Fire pits out front. Real log house construction makes this the perfect rocky mountain destination.
