We rented a cabin from the august long weekend and had a wonderful time. The beds were SO COMFORTABLE!! The cabin was clean and came equipped with garbage bags, dish soap, dish towel and cloth, paper towel, toilet paper, hand soap, hand towel, and shower mat. The grounds were well maintained and the sandy bottom beach was busy but lovely. Everyone we met was very friendly including staff. The environment is very family oriented and we are already planning a longer stay for next season with 4 other families. FYI We really appreciated having brought our shade tent and table cloth for the picnic table.

Very nice campground. When I booked I never noticed they didn't have a boat launch since I normally go to fish. Really didn't bother me. Beautiful tent site sheltered by the trees, 30 feet to the showers and the washroom. Nice beach, pool and a friendly staff. I'd definitely go back.

This was a great campground for the kids they had a wonderful time. They played volleyball, went swimming in the pool that was heated well, it was cold and wet weekend so it was great that they turned up the heater for the pool. The staff and campers were very friendly.

My family has camped at Cedardale for 15 years, we were very involved in the parks activities for many years. In September 2015 we received an email from the new managers stating they were not renewing our contract for 2016 season, they evicted us, when we asked why, they said they did not need to give us a reason, we tried to speak with Len Goreski their superior and he told us, he backs up his peoples decision and we were to vacate within 4 weeks. We had no complaints, no verbal or written notices, it was a personal issue Chris and Lorna had with us, we had challenged them on a few issses and they didnt like that, so they got rid of us. The managers allowed their personal feelings get involved and they abused their positions. We have known 10 campers that have left Cedardale because of Chris and Lorna, and I'm sure their are more to come.

-Chris tried to intimated the teens and made them feel very uncomfortable.

-I questioned him regarding posting signs on the pool gate, stating "due to use of suntan lotion the health dept has closed the pool", the health dept would not say that, We have never seen the pool closed so much in 1 year that they have been managers than in the passed 15 years.

-There was a young staff member caught hiding in the bushes taking pictures of campers properties, when we approached him and asked why, he told us that Chris had asked him to do this and that Chris wanted evidence on file just in case he had to evict someone.

-My daughter wanted to rent the tenting area for her friends to come for a weekend, she was told Cedardale is a family park, and that they had no vacancies, we spoke to Lorna and Chris and the admitted they lied, there were vacancies.

-My husband built a deck for our friend, Chris offered to get rid of the wood from her old deck, we were to find out that another camper had asked if Chris if there were any stairs that were being thrown out and Chris said yes but it will cost $50. cash.

-Chris had also mentioned to a few campers, that he did not want "local" people camping at Cedardale, his plan is to get rid of them.

-We have a known "pot smoker" and Chris knows exactly which site they are on, they party till all hours of the morning and Chris has given 1 written notice for the entire season, but we have had no notices and we get evicted meanwhile they still get to camp at Cedardale.

-Chris has anger issues, a camper came nose to nose with Chris as Chris was clenching his fists, and in the campers face, over an issue that Chris admitted he was wrong, this was all done in front of children.

In July Chris had built a deck for a trailer on the beach during company time, this deck took approx 1 week to build.

These are just a few issues that went on last season and with us "challenging" them, we feel that we need to let people know what the managers are all about and if you like Cedardale and want to continue camping there do not say anything to them because if you stand up to them you too will be evicted at the end of the year, so walk on eggshells and happy camping.

I hope that Killam is aware of the people they are hiring, my advice to them is please next time hire someone with a customer service skills, the last 3 managers had no customer service skills at all, but these 2...

We were seasonal 2019-2021 here and had a park model overlooking the water. I highly recommend staying far far away from being seasonal at Cedardale or any other Killam properties. Transients seem to get better service and attention but even they have issues as you can see when you check low ratings. The property is run down, neglected, constant hydro outages and constant running water outages and boil water alerts, sewage spills, and numerous other safety issues. Local management and Killam head office do not care, there was never a manager around and when you called to inquire about any issue, the manager said “ if you don’t like it, sell it and leave” . The first manager was always there in 2019 but Killam fired him in July, 2019 and the managers that came in after him were never there, and did the bare minimum. In fact they did the bare minimum because they received a bonus for being under budget. And when you sell Killam takes 8% of purchase price so they dont care if you sell, in fact they rather make 8% and hope the new seasonals dont complain. And if the new seasonals aren’t happy, they can sell and Killam makes another 8% . Of the 9 waterfront properties, 6 sold in one year! 2 were not able to sell due to age of the park model and the...

I have been going to Cedardale for many years and this year we have noticed a drastic change in the atmosphere of the park. We don't mind people having conversations around their campfires or even the occasional loud laugh. What we do mind is a group of 8 to 10 teenagers hanging around the bathrooms for over 4 hours at night smoking weed and making anyone going into the washrooms uncomfortable. They were at the washrooms taking over, they sat on the counters, smoked weed, were loud and obnoxious and did not leave until around midnight we could hear them from our site. No one did a thing about the teenagers in the 4 and half hours they were there. What used to be a relaxed fun environment has turned into a place controlled by wardens of convenience, they will give you heck if you are driving too fast by a km but do nothing about actual illegal activity. Not a good environment for families by any means! More focus needs to be spent on the overnight and weekend campers because this weekend it was out of control! I really hope that something can be done in regards to what I experienced this weekend because otherwise we will NOT return to Cedardale Campground. Perhaps it's time for some new management, someone who will make this place a fun...
