Carleton Inn and Cottages — Hotel in Carleton Corner

September 2025|I’ll never be able to do this place justice with a review. An absolute hidden gem. I travel often for work, and this is the nicest little motel i have encountered yet. Felt more like home than a motel. Super friendly and accommodating staff. I stayed three nights in room 16. From what I understand there are several options for rooms, and they very quite differently. ||My room started with a beautiful little private deck, complete with blooming flower boxes, two comfy patio chairs, and a table with large umbrella. Very quiet and you can enjoy a sunset over the valley. Inside is what looked to be a brand new room. Spotless. Flawless. Not a single blemish. Crown molding, beautiful laminate flooring, modern, heat pump, very spacious and very nicely decorated. The little kitchenette area was as nice as any place I’ve ever stayed. Countertop, mini fridge with freezer, microwave, coffee maker. The bed was comfy. The walk-in shower was definitely better than any motel or hotel I’ve ever seen. Ceramic tile, and huge. Everything in this room appeared brand new. From the appliances, to the bathroom fixtures, flatscreen TV, table and chairs. ||And then there’s the outside. Before you even turn off the road into this motel, it catches your eye. From the big trees, bushes, and flowers out front, to the several seating areas with Adirondack chairs, and fire pits, outdoor lighting. I can’t say enough about this place. They know how to do everything right. ||I was here on business, but next September I will be coming back with my spouse. I recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming rental cottage, and it truly exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I walked through the door, I was struck by how immaculately clean and well-maintained everything was. The fresh scent and thoughtful attention to detail made it clear that the hosts genuinely care about their guests' comfort.

The cottage itself is beautifully designed, with a perfect blend of cozy and modern touches. The natural light streaming through the windows created a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it a wonderful place to relax and unwind.

What stood out most, though, was the kindness of the hosts. They went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect, offering helpful recommendations for local attractions and responding promptly to any questions I had. Their genuine hospitality made me feel so welcome and appreciated.

Update June 2023: Just had a second visit to Carleton Inn and Cottages. It was another great stay. Clean room, great staff. Will book again if I'm back in the area.

Aug 2022: Great stay at Carleton Inn and Cottages. The room was clean and ready when we checked in. Very spacious. I had some car issues and needed to extend my stay. Pam and Christine were very accommodating and were able to book me into a cottage. It was great. I was able to prepare some meals so it felt like eating "at home." The ladies who do the housekeeping were super nice and asked if we needed anything. I would definitely stay here again when travelling in the Annapolis Valley....
