This was a family vacation, booked very early on. 4 condos were booked for all of us, the staff was nice they tried to put us as close as possible from each other.
NB: When you arrive there, it's not very clear, first you will pass near the camping site, you need to continue forward on the path until you find the big sign with the Rabbit logo and the "Welcome" pannel. :) Otherwise it's well designed, parking places everywhere, it's very green well indicated on the site, you can even plug your car if it's an electric one.
This is where I will put a downside to my review: due to the pandemic happening on us of course it was not easy for them to be organized for everyone and everything, so we cannot put all the blame on the place. BUT, they really messed up with the relaxing sphere of the place. They were supposed to communicate with us about the spa and massage possibilities and they never did. We called them back a week before they had still no clue. When we arrived they say we need to speed up because it's full already...
So we only found on slot for a massage for one of us (8 adults). They were supposed to call back to confirm, and never did. We went in the morning of the RDV and they confirmed. Ouf! And...It was finally cancelled 1 hour before because they messed up with the booking of 90 min massages back to back... When you book in this kind of place it's mainly the thing you are intending to do (It's afterall called Chalet & Spa) and this is a reason you accept to pay the price at the beginning. We were very disappointed.
However the woman was kind and proposed us to book a longer slot for the spa. BUT first the SPA is free of access (so have 2hours or 4hours is not a big deal), and 65% of the facility was closed. They were a cold bath and hot bath with no pressure, no music no ambiance. We stayed 30 min only before being bored because you cannot even do the thermal circuit everything else was closed for obvious reasons. Of course these conditions are created because of COVID situation as I said earlier so it's not entirely the responsibility of the place but we would have expect maybe a discount considering the experience was really reduced compared to the promises.
Concerning the place where we stayed, we were expecting a little bit more according to the price we paid for a condo loft for two. The bathroom was nice. We expected a queen size bed and realized it was a double, furniture was just enough. We had lots of blankets and pillows however, that was nice. But the kitchen was really minimalist. When the rest of the family had dishwashers, washing machines and lots of appliances to make food, we had really the basics: micro-wave and fridge, small portable oven and portable baking tray. One coffee machine. Lucky us we didn't stay long, ate with the family and use only few dishes to make sure we had enough place. Also, I am used to hotels and even cheaper motels, I was waiting for some welcome kit with tea, cream, chocolates, coffee or little welcoming things like this. There was only one coffee bag.
So overall it was a good stay but the price is expensive compared to the global...
Read moreWe read good reviews about this place, and it was a huge disappointment.
When we got there, the receptionist told us something like "your room is in block 8, room 3". When my wife asked her what does she mean by block 8, she just looked at her as if that was the stupidest question ever, and repeated the exact same words: "your room is in block 8, room 3". Instead of saying, for example, that the room is in the next building, where it was.
In the room, there was no soap, there was only enough toilet paper for one time use, there was no coffee machine as promised. In the next morning they told us "oh yes, in your room the coffee machine is broken", and when we asked for coffee they wanted to charge us for it.
The pictures of the room did not represent how it really was. We were 4 people, with my wife, mom and aunt. The two beds were literally on top of each other with no room to move. In the pictures they make you think that your room is just on the water, but the water was 100-200 meter away.
When we tried to have breakfast on the balcony at 8AM, a huge lawn mower tractor worked just below us, we could not hear each other at all. Why not mowing the lawn in a more reasonable time? In the room next to us there were people that were still sleeping and woke up because of that. We are on vacation, and that was really inconsiderate.
If you are vegetarian or vegan, forget about eating anything there. Bring your own food because they can't accommodate.
To summarize in one...
