NK Paradise — Hotel in Chestermere

Giving this place a 3 out of 5. I'm giving it a 3 because the rental price was a bit extreme for a 2 night stay. A couple of things didn't work which made it inconvenient, firestick on tv upstairs wasn't working , dishwasher didn't clean the dishes had to wash by hand, BBQ was very dirty had to clean it ourselves, Firewood was not included nor were the canoes and paddle board/boats. Owners were asking way to much for the rentals. For a 2 night stay with 8 of us in the Summer it was $2500.

-----Pros----- It was a beautiful location, the inside and outside were very clean. Lots of towels, pillows and blankets.

On a nice sunny day outside is the place to be. Nice dock to sit on and chill. little putting hole, trampoline, fireplace and hot tub.

Lots of parking space

Lots of chairs and loungers to sit on outside.

Washer and Dryer were nice to have! We were able to wash all of our towels, so we had fresh ones for the next day.

Inside there is even more to do. Air Hockey and pool was a hit

Lots of movies to watch, there was a Playstation with a few games. They have a tv and firestick in the second level and in the 4 level master bedroom. Access to Netflix and Prime.

-----Outside Cons-----

BBQ was so flithy that it caught on fiire, almost caught our food on fire too! There was so much old charcoaled food in the bottom it, looked like it hadn't been cleaned since last summer. I had to clean it before we used it again. It took me 30 mins to clean.

Canoes, paddle board and paddle boats were very expensive $350 to rent and the JetSki was $1000. We ended up just brining our own raft instead.

No firewood, had to bring our own, for the price they are charging, it should have been included.

-----Inside Cons----- Dish washer wasn't working, the dishes came out dirty, tried running it twice and the dishes still came out dirty so we had to handwash.

Firestick was not working in the Master bedroom, so we couldn't use the TV in that room.

-The frying pans to cook our eggs in were terrible. There were only 2 frying pans and they were more for stirfrying (deep pans).

Even though there were 8 guests listed on the invite, there were only 3 beds made and ready. Had to make one of the beds ourselves. the bunkbed was so unconfortable we ended up sleeping on the...

(1 star is the lowest star raying I can give this place, I'd give it -5 if I could.)

The stairs were slippery and one of my family members got hurt and had to go to the hospital and now my family is traumatized. My family also got a cold from this place, so much for cleaners. This place is NASTY.

The hot tub was full of sediment and dead bugs, the barbeque had melted cheese on the grill and charcoaled food on the bottom.

The chess pieces were full of rancid water, and I swear one piece had algae on the bottom.

The deck was unlevel and another one of my family members almost got hurt because of it, the floors are too slippery which also almost caused injury.

The stairs have no handrails, and the one set that has a handrail stops halfway up. They are also super steep, even for taller folk.

One TV didn't work either, and the pool table was uneven. The darts were also garbage quality.

The knives included in the house were dull, which is INCREDIBLY unsafe.

The beds were uncomfortable and are poorly built, the bed that I slept in had the slats on the left fall out.

While it looks aesthetically pleasing, it's more like trying to put makeup on a popped blister.

The hosts couldn't be contacted when they were needed.

The washing machine and dryer do not work unless you download an app and connect them to a wifi network to get them to work, AND you have to start the cycle using the app.

The sandpit was also full of animal poop.

The shower floors felt grimy, I was genuinely worried I would catch a disease.

There's also a gaping hole in one of the bathroom ceilings.

There are also no dustpans.

The lake is pretty though. But it doesn't get rid of the horrible experience I had.
