Mixed feelings on this location. It is inexpensive compared to other locations in the area. But in our home province $119 is a basic rate for a pretty decent hotel room.
The room was decent size. The sink and toilet looked new.
The room was clean but it was extremely musty smelling. Humid and the air conditioning isnt so great and is controlled by the front desk. The humidity was so high that everything felt damp.
The beds were comfortable. The bedding has been updated but one of our duvets had a huge stain on it. I couldnt tell if it had been washed or not. I removed the duvets and didnt use them at all.
The carpets in that room really should be pulled out.
The staff is friendly. I think most of the kitchen units are being lived in by either the staff or their family.
We spent two nights with children. Not sure I would want to spend more time that this there.
The breakfast was fried eggs, pancakes, pastries, toast and cereal. Very basic. They should consider adding maybe bacon or sausage. Bagels would of been great.
My understanding is that this hotel was bought in the past year and had been housing monks and international students. It is still housing both but are trying to re-establish as a...
Read moreNOT dog friendly. Humiliated me for having my period which the bleeding came unexpectedly. I have a service dog who the person at the front desk tried to tell me I can’t bring. I called ahead and I explained that she is a service dog and that if anyone had allergies, to room us away from anyone with allergies. She did so, however was disrespectful in doing so. I’m female and unfortunately began my period and a little bit of my blood ended up on the fitted sheet only (not the mattress). I was very embarrassed about this. The employee wanted a $300 damage deposit because of the dog. She went to check the room before we left as we had agreed for dog damage and my dog is well-behaved and caused no damage. The employee chastised me about my own menstrual blood which is not my fault that I leaked from my tampon and pad. I’m grateful we had a place to stay. Very clean. However very disrespectful, inappropriate, and...
Read moreOld, dated hotel/motel. Friendly staff. Pool in the basement. Limited warm breakfast.
The best highlights for this hotel is the location: 10 minute away from Charlottetown center and the large parking lot.
The rooms are dated, with window air conditioners that haven't been refreshed in a long while. Beds were comfortable and the bathroom was renovated.
We had a family suite with kitchen. Spacious. Nothing is supplied in the kitchen: no utensils, no dishes, no pots or pans. The oven was not working ( just the top stove and the microwave).
We also used the washer/dryer and while they are definitely not new they worked as expected. Saw in other reviews that the drier was not drying, but this was not the case for us: it dried decent enough for an big load.
The breakfast simple but limited choice. Cereals, muffins, fries, fried eggs, jams, coffee, tea ,...
