Burken Bed & Breakfast — Hotel in Cramahe

We had a one night stay at this Bed and Breakfast|The host Ken and Burke met us on arrival. They took us to our room and made sure we were ok. They then provided us with where to go and see in the area. With that they provided us with a pass to the local park to go and see. Which we did and it was very nice as we saw lots of wild live including deer |Next morning we went for breakfast at the agreed time which was 9 am that we requested|Whow. The service and the food preparation was like you were in a 5 class hotel|The preparation and the table set up was just amazing. |Both Ken and Burke made our stay very comfortable and chatted with us as if we had known them for years. First class experience. |Had good Wifi and it was free|Some of the down falls which would not effect me returning are as follows|1- The train line is not that far away and you can if you are a light sleeper hear the train |2- The pillows were not the best but they were other pillows in the closet that might have been better but it was only one night and we were just fine|3- the TV is outdated but it did not effect us. They were many channels to choose|4- if you are looking for a very private room experience it may become a problem but for us it had no effect |5- at any one time you could have both rooms occupied and sharing one bath room and toilet could be an issue. For us we were lucky only one room was occupied during our stay |I certainly give this place a high rating and would certainly return when I am in the area again|Thanks Guys for the experience....

Burken Bed & Breakfast is an absolute dream. From the moment I arrived, we knew we had found something special. The house itself is stunning — a beautiful blend of charm and comfort — and the garden area is like a little slice of paradise.

But let’s talk about the breakfast: OMG. Magnificent doesn’t even begin to cover it. Fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with love — it honestly felt like a luxury dining experience, yet it remains accessible to humble folks like myself. You won’t find this kind of breakfast at most high-end hotels, let alone B&Bs.

Our room was perfect — tastefully decorated, spacious, and private. The en-suite washroom and shower were spotless and felt incredibly well-maintained. We had everything we needed for a relaxing and comfortable stay.

If your travel itinerary has never included a Bed & Breakfast, Burken's B&B will be the reason why you should always make this an accommodation option going forward. Thanks to the covid, this year we tried many things we would never have considered, including visits to farms and spending time in rural towns in Ontario. We LOVED our stay at Burken's B&B. Burke and Ken are hospitality professionals with just the right personal touch which you will never get staying at regular hotels. Being at home away from home has never rung so true! We are so thankful to have met them, and for the privilege of sharing their lovely home and beautiful garden. They also went to great lengths to make sure health and safety procedures were in place, given the continued increase in covid cases.
