Staying at the Muskoka Dome was an unforgettable experience that deserves nothing less than a 5-star rating! From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by this place's unique and beautiful charm, and it was made all the more special by our incredible host, Melanie.
First and foremost, the Muskoka Dome itself is a hidden gem. Nestled amidst the breathtaking natural beauty of Muskoka, it offers a truly one-of-a-kind stay. The dome's architecture is incredible, providing comfort and a sense of being one with nature. The views of the forest and the dome are nothing short of mesmerizing.
But what truly made our stay exceptional was Melanie, our gracious host. Her warmth, hospitality, and attention to detail were second to none. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel like welcomed guests. Melanie went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and memorable and even brought Smores right to us when she learned that was something that we were desiring! Every little detail was magical, the heated floor in the shower, the towel warmer, the bed is incredible!!! Every amenity you could think of in the kitchen, games for outside and inside, a beautiful fire pit that we used every night, a BBQ and so many places to explore, we even made it out to a famers market that Melanie had suggested in their guest book! Truly everything you could hope for and dream of is there!
The extra add-ons were amazing! Highly recommend! We were treated to delicious breakfasts, incredible charcuterie, oysters, and a lot of lil extra treats which were fun and so delicious! And a beautiful birthday cake that was absolutely out of this world delicious.
In summary, staying at the Muskoka Dome and having Melanie as our host was a five-star experience in every way times one million. It's a place where nature and comfort coexist harmoniously, and Melanie's hospitality adds an extra layer of magic to the experience. If you're seeking a unique, and enchanting getaway in Muskoka, look no further. We can't recommend it highly enough, and we can't wait to return for...
Read moreThis was our first visit to Muskoka Country and our first stay in a dome. Wow! The place was exactly as in the pictures. Newly constructed dome! Neat and tidy. And strongly built. The wooden staircase was not squeeky at all. Even the decoration was exactly as seen in the photos. Household stuff arranged for super convenience. The bathroom is far better than many other places I have stayed in. The faucets and shower work so well. The mixer was cool, easily pouring out cold/hot/lukewarm water. My wife and I were thrilled to find a lovely personal hand written welcome note on the kitchen counter. And there was local beer and popcorn. The cake that we ordered was cute. The cozy and comfortable bed on the loft was unlike any we experienced before. We could see the starry sky after so many years! No light pollution. The barbeque outside was new and well maintained. The canopy outside was well zipped to keep musquitoes out while we dined there. Above all, the host Melanie was courteous, communicative and responsive. Well stocked kitchen, bath amenities, etc. What more could we ask to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary. It is a blessing when someone shares their private property with guests. Surely, we will recommend to others and think of returning once...
Read moreMy wife and I went for our honeymoon during the first week of September and we were blown away. Every possible need was taken care of. It truly feels like a 5 star luxury experience. The hosts provided robes and sleep masks (the masks were great for that early morning sun in the skylight). When we wanted to have a bonfire one night, there was wood, kindling, and old scraps of cardboard saved in a bin to easily get a fire going, plus a lighter and roasting sticks easily found in the kitchen. The bathroom was bright, clean, and amazing with the heated floor and soft towels. And the bed!! We called it the cloud bed because waking up in a big beautiful white king sized bed looking up into the sky, felt like waking up in the morning on a cloud. We also NEED to get those bedside table lamps for our own home: never needed to plug in a phone charger because the lamps have charging stands, and we loved the fun colour shifting mode. The provided breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed looking out into the woods with our fresh yogurt and berries, cozy in robes, and added some of our own sparkling wine into the provided orange juice for mimosas. This is the perfect place. We hope to return again for an anniversary trip...
