My boyfriend and I had a very pleasant experience at this beautiful campground which has such a peaceful atmosphere that anyone could enjoy! The waterfront tent site was gorgeous! The only issue we came across was with Kayla Viscardi and her group at the campsite near us. Her review below is a completely false story of events. To start, she needs to get a new watch or her phone is set to the wrong time zone as it was actually past midnight not 10:30pm when we asked their group to try to keep the noise down. The park has an 11pm no-noise rule that is clearly stated on the website and on forms you sign when entering the campground so there was no excuse for her group to claim they didn't know of this rule and to start chopping firewood at 12:15am and having loud conversations and laughing loudly, clearly had too many drinks and couldn't control their voices. Our complaint had nothing to do with the noises of someone being sick as it was happening all night long and that was not mentioned by us when we complained. We respectfully asked them to keep it down, and that's when a male from their party threatened to throw our tent in the lake while we slept, which would be endangering our lives, and threated to fight my boyfriend. We immediately got the owners involved and did not want to fight, we acted as adults would, not babies. When the owner, who was in fact the owner of the campground came by to handle the situation, they listened to the facts they were told and resolved the issue in the most professional manner they could considered they were being screamed at and sworn at by the other campers. They offered to move our campsite if we wanted and gave us further instructions on what to do if we did not feel safe since our lives had been threatened. We were totally pleased with all our interactions with the owners of this campground. We really can't wait to come back and enjoy our stay without immature adults who can't follow the rules and seem to possibly need mental help since they threaten the lives of others when asked to keep noise down. Please DO NOT let Kayla Viscardi's negative, FALSE review stop you from visiting this beautiful campground!!!

I have noticed some reviews on here that are not so great but I will tell you all now that the owners are awesome people who are very friendly, welcoming and know how to run a campground. I have been here for a week with my wife, my daughters, some friends and their children and we all have had no issues whatsoever. Everyone in the park is very welcoming and they all say good morning, good evening, have a good day, they will even chat with you and they’re all great with all the children here. The owners have been very fast at responding when we needed more firewood or anything. It’s sad some people who didn’t get their way or came and caused problems here have to try to leave harsh reviews that are not true at all just to try to make it out to be this terrible campground so no one will come to it. I do highly suggest this campground. Mine and my friends children had an amazing time as well as they met so many people and say that all the kids plus adults here are super friendly. If you let one bad apple make your choice on not to try this campground out I am going to let you know that you definitely not going to find out that the people leaving the bad reviews are totally wrong. If you come to this campground to camp you will find that they’re just making all this up as this is far from the truth what they’re saying and you will enjoy your time here. We definitely will be back next year to camp here again. We think we found our campground we enjoy being at.

I just wanted to say that we could not have had a better weekend here. Right off the bat, we were shocked to get a response right away when we were inquiring about a site at 8:30pm. When we got there at 8pm Chris (the owner) was waiting there for us to arrive and guided us through the campsite and pointed out some good fishing spots! The site alone is stunning, especially this time of year… we talked all weekend about wanting a seasonal site here in the future. Everyone who was camping here (mostly seasonal sites this time of year) were so nice, which also added to the experience. We had no interest in going anywhere else over the weekend we were too content at the site. It was also a great spot to bring our pup, with a designated dog beach. She had a blast as well. Highly highly recommend! Thank you tons Cheryl and Chris!

My friends and I (ten mid-20 year old diverse women) stayed at Muskoka Glens this past weekend and it was the least welcoming campsite I had ever been to. After getting the okay from the owners that a camper would be leaving the site to pick up another camper during the night after their shift, not only had the owner holding a beer bottle, ran and yelled at the driver and two other campers in the dark for speeding, grabbing onto their vehicle without introducing himself, he also called the cops on her to be breathalyzed (her breathalyzer reading was 0.0), and drove to our campsite to warn the rest of us about this right after.

We also were the butt of other complaints of a speeding black Honda and got threatened to be kicked out and have the cops called on us over these claims. None of us drive a black Honda. Each of our cars were also followed by the same pickup truck to the edge of the property when we were leaving the site. This same truck slowly drove past our campsite during our stay, even though we had the whole section booked and the other sites near us were not in use. Coincidence? Maybe. But with everything else it was hard for this to not be a concern.

This was extremely disappointing, as not only was it many of my friends first times camping, but these days it is very difficult to book time off work. We wanted a peaceful stay in nature out of the city to swim and sit around the campfire. Instead, we were concerned about being kicked out. If we were following the rules and still getting threatened, then it felt like we could be kicked out for anything.

The other campers from sites would stare and point as we went about our business as well (aka going to the bathroom, playing badminton, canoeing), even if we tried to engage in a friendly manner.

All of this occurred over the TWO nights we were there. It's unfortunate that this happened as it really is a beautiful...

I have to say it was a beautiful site with great amenities. Just amazing; Unfortunately, the owners were shockingly disrespectful and the regulars were very unwelcoming. Perhaps it was because we stood out from the crowd. But there was a constant feeling of eyes being on us. Not to mention the actual staring and pointing that occurred.

On night one, the owner gave permission for a car to leave past midnight, it was okay as long as we drove slow (5km/hour). As the camper left, the other owner, attempted to stop the car and grabbed onto it while holding a beer. There were three women in the car in the dark and he did not introduce himself as the owner so of course she did not stop for him. Then owner proceeded to drive to our camp to tell everyone he called the cops because he thought the driver was drunk and speeding like crazy in the dark? She was not drinking and driving and the cop let her go. I can not fathom that an owners response is to call the cops on a paying customer who is doing nothing wrong, dangerous or disruptive.

On our second night he calls us saying they had many complaints about us speeding through the camp ground. The complaints were unfounded as we had not driven for 6 hours prior to the call, did not own the car they reported seeing, and we were not speeding? He did not want to have a proper conversation about it. So he threatened to kick us out a second night in a row for doing nothing …

It was just uncomfortable, paranoid, and exclusionary environment. I do...
