This place is right off the highway On that note it’s hard to see until the last minute so if you have gps on turn your four ways on and slow down or you will miss it The place seems to be under renovation in some areas, for mobility this would be a definite no. The beach area is smaller then it appears in the pictures and the grass area has a lot of geese poop. It was the middle of a heat wave and the grass area was mucky which also let to a lot of mosquitoes The positives are the staff/owners live on the resort and are super friendly. If you need anything they will bring it very quickly Firewood was available for purchase at $15 a bag and propane rentals were $30 (we were there for one night but chose to bring our own charcoal) We were a family of five and all five beds we used were uncomfortable. They looked nice and cozy though. There was air conditioning in the main area which was really nice The door did not have a handle on the inside so the kids kept accidentally not clicking it shut(mosquitoes and chipmunks to worry about) The kitchen was equipped with some stuff but did not accommodate our family size

Don’t not stay here. The listing dosnt match the actual cabin. We rented #7 and it was a horrible experience. My husband is allergic to mold, cats and hay. Once he moved our bags in he has a huge allergy attack as one of these 3 things was in this cottage. The mattress was so old and bedding had black dots on it from bugs/bed bugs. The host did not come when we asked for help & just stopped responding. We moved out immediately & had to rent a hotel room for the rest of the weekend. For $379 a night you would expect a clean sheets, newer mattress, clean cabin with no mold or animal hair and a host that responds to your needs. Brandy lake is amazing and these cabins/hosts do not represent that community well.

This is a highly unreliable host. They have posted their property on multiple forums and they keep looking for higher amount. As soon as they find someone willing to pay more they will cancel out your confirmed reservation with some false information and lame excuse. Property location is good but management is very unpredictable and unprofessional. They also don’t live at the property. They have hired a kid who talks on phone with property manager. I won’t recommend anyone booking this property.

Absolute pathetic customer service. Wish there was a zero star. Booked this cottage on July 12 , 2024 for one night stay on September 1,2024 through Expedia. Went with full gear. They told us the booking was cancelled . As per Expedia , the booking was cancelled by the property on august 29, 2024 , two days before the stay. We thought the property was overbooked , but they tried to sell the same cottage at a higher price . Be aware that they can cancel your booking at the last minute, if they can sell their cottage for a higher rate . I was a return customer but they didn’t care. Kept on trying to offer the cottage at higher rate .

reply to owner’s reply:

If we were on the block list, why were you offering me the room again at a higher price. Also, you did not even know who we were until your employee told you that we were repeat customers. Secondly you waited two months to cancel my booking because we were on the block list? Funny response though. Lastly there was no music or anything during our first stay… but it’s all good . Thanks for blocking us because we don’t want to stay there anyways.

But it’s all good . I wish you and your business...

I recently stayed at this cabin and unfortunately had a very unpleasant experience. The place was dirty from the moment we arrived — the cabin itself was not cleaned properly, the life jackets were filthy and the mattress inside the rooms was yellowish, needs to be changed. The beachside was full of animal poop, making it impossible to enjoy the area. At night, there was no hot water, which made showers very uncomfortable. On top of all that, the cabin was extremely hot and stuffy. There was only one portable air conditioning unit placed outside two rooms, which did nothing to cool the rooms inside. The so-called “fan” provided was actually a pocket-sized heater, making the heat even worse.Everything just felt neglected, unhygienic, and poorly thought out. This completely ruined what was supposed to be a relaxing getaway. I would not recommend staying here unless they make major improvements in cleanliness, maintenance, and guest comfort. Definitely not worth the price in its...
