A friend and myself headed up to enjoy a peaceful evening and roast some food on a fire. The grounds were clean, tidy, and seemingly very accommodating. We planned to only be there a couple hours, but I had zero issue purchasing the almost $6 1 day wifi package. We were respectful, cleaned up after ourselves, listened to mellow low volume music, did not consume alcohol or drug related substances. However, upon exiting the grounds and getting a little lost, we were flagged down by an aggressive man whom accused us of trespassing on private property and scoping out guests’ campsites/ property. Unbeknownst to us, this was a private resort for registered guests only. There is nothing on the website stating such, and something on Google mentioned there was public access. We would have respectfully left the grounds had someone approached us initially upon arrival or even shortly after, but to wait until we’re leaving to approach us aggressively was just super unprofessional and for lack of a better term, “ick”. The attitude and nature of the communication from this individual was enough to change our impression of the resort. This man claimed to be the manager, but when asked his name, told us it was none of our business. Coincidentally I had just been raving about how I couldn’t wait to come rent a cabin. Was sending photos to friends and family. However, all it takes is one garbage experience with a garbage human and it ruins everything. Given the other reviews, it seems we are not the only people who have had negative experiences with this individual. This man is also likely to leave a super passive aggressive response to this review as well. To the...

My family and I were able to book a cabin here during the week day as everything was booked during weekends. As we all know, COVID has caused a huge increase in campaign and outdoor bookings. Despite the increased volume, Beaver Lake Resort was beyond what we had expected. We live 20min away and often frequent the lake, petting zoo and playground but have never stayed at the facilities. The cabin was super clean yet still rustic. The fireplace had been lit prior to our arrival, greeting us with a warm refuge from the fall mtn air. All supplies were stocked for us to have an enjoyable time. They supplied more than enough firewood to last a month, fire starter, hot water, and essentials. The office, cleaning, and rental staff are patient and friendly. The rental boats are amazing with their new 9.9 Honda motors. They have added docks to several of the islands for easy access, and they even have fresh mini doughnuts at the office. A real hit with the wife and child. The absolute best part (and I never thought I would review this) was the amazing beds in the cabin. I looked forward to sleeping and relaxing in the absolute most comfortable bed I've been on. And I own a very expensive bed. This made the trip as a good night's sleep allows you to enjoy your stay even more.

A huge shout out to the staff for making this an amazing mini-stay-cation for us. We will be back again as soon as we can book a spot.

P.S. don't forget to leave a treat for the...

We booked this trip in 2019 for the follow year - but due to Covid finally had our delayed Fam Jam in 2021! What a wonderful trip with all the family 9 adults & 2 children. We rented 3 cabins; Lynx, Coyote and Cougar.||Although the Coyote is smaller and rustic (no washroom but has running water) it is so perfect for a couple and has an awesome dock which we were using daily for fishing/swimming and boating. The other two cabins were well appointed with comfortable sleeping and nice patios for evening dinners and games. Cougar has great storage pantry. Lynx has great two doors that open to the patio for evening entertaining.||We enjoyed a hike to WrinklyMountain (watch closely for signage on the trail) and lots of bike rides too. The campsite has very nice sites some very secluded with large clean washrooms/showers. My older son has camped there several times with his family.||The staff are very meticulous with cleaning and repairs and their customer service is great. Very friendly and helpful with all our questions and needs. We bought bait/ice/coffee and odds and ends that we needed in their store.||There are lots of families and the main beach can get busy due to campers but having a cabins & dock we didnt use the beach much.||Enjoy the mornings…the loons and sunrise are amazing and fishing was fun too!||Looking forward to our return - plan to rent...

Stayed here for first time in August 2020. Owner/operators are super friendly. No concerns with our reservation, all was good to go when we checked in. Shower house is always kept very clean. Beach area is good, although we did not use it. Always lots of kids in the water. Campsite we stayed in was probably one that offered most privacy. Most sites are fairly close together, and found ground in site to be a bit uneven. Lots of tree roots and ruts. Gravel road in resort area is quite rough with lots of deep pot holes and ruts. Road up there from Lake Country is quite rough as well. And it's a steep climb up if you are pulling a trailer. However, after you are there it is worth the trip. Very good spot. Our friends stayed in one of the lake front cabins. Very rustic, but you can't beat having your own dock to go and sit on and enjoy the weather.

I love this place! There's a big playground for the kids to play, walking an biking trails near by, the lake is calm and peaceful, mostly. There is a store up there that you can rent boats to play on the water or purchase things you might have forgotten (like pancakes syrup). You can by breakfast and lunch, a cup of coffee or a nice shot of espresso! If you'd like you can even get a wellness massage while you camp, I've never done it but it sounds relaxing. You can by fire wood and fishing supplies, you can rent a cabin or just a spot to put a tent or trailer, most sites are generally sized. Do you like animals? There's a petting zoo! Do you have a dog? Then bring them, this place is dog friendly! I gave it 5 stars for a reason, if you are in the area and any of the things I mentioned abouve appeal to you, then do yourself a favor and go.
