Elk Valley Lodge — Hotel in Elkford

This is a great place to stay if you’re accustomed to filth. Been in lots of camps over the years and only one has been dirtier than this but at least the food was decent. Elk valley. Food? Fail… Lunches? Massive fail. Absolutely Shameful. Cleanliness? Gross. Floors are ALWAYS dirty. The shared showers are great if you enjoy listening to your neighbour blow his snot on the filthy stained shower curtain and booger speckled walls. Mattresses are terrible but at least you can bring your own pillow. Just come prepared to have diarrhea at least once per week. Great if your preference is living in squalor. ATCO usually runs a tight ship but this one sunk years ago. I’m giving it two stars because I know there’s worse than this. It’s especially depressing when you spend more time here than your own home. Bring Lysol disinfectant spray for every light switch, door handle desktop and anything else you are forced to touch. DO NOT BRING A BLUE FORENSICS LIGHT!!! The light is cheap but the psychiatric therapy will cost you...

I only managed to make it 1 night in here, this is easily the most foul camp I've ever been in. The rooms are tiny, barely any space to move around, my sink still had someone else's hair in it, the smaller light didn't work just the main one, the bed was extremely uncomfortable and smelled terrible. The smell of the room stuck to me even going home. The lunch options looked horrible, nothing seemed clean or like it had been updated in 20 years. Walls are paper thin, ESPECIALLY the shared bathroom. I woke up an hour and a half earlier than my alarm to my neighbors alarm, and then couldn't go back to sleep because of all his grunting and moaning while showering and using the bathroom and trust me you can hear EVERYTHING. At first I thought I could suffer through it but after how I was woken up I realized this should not be how I live for 2 weeks at a time. I can't imagine 2 nights there let...

I give the kitchen 5 stars..but bring your own towels and stuff to clean your room. Pillows and maybe a memory foam for your bed. I hate to give a bad review but the housekeepers are overwhelmed because there are not enough of them so ill say that..but its not a clean environment ESPECIALLY with the viruses and germs going around.many are sick. 2 quarantined in my dorm. Honest (JULY ,22 2022) Leave your shoes on at all times. I couldn't explain enough to tell anyone about the floors in the dorm hallways.

Beautiful area and Wild Life. The "Town of Elkford rocks!! ..⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Lots of things close by, golf, water. A few restaurants and pubs. Horses across the road, Elk walking through the parking lot. Couldn't ask for better views up...
